This shoot came together as a collaboration and had a project coming up for the British
Hairdressing Awards and we just thought this was a perfect opportunity to get together
and create an amazing imagery again.
Anne and I have worked before on several projects and we both appreciate each other's creativity
and attention to detail and Anne is a very talented hairstylist and multi-award winner
as well.
She's also a lovely person to work with and great on set.
Most hair images or ads that you see are generally very bright and hard and vibrant and that's
where my idea for this series really came about.
I wanted to shoot them in a completely different way with more of a beautiful elegance to them.
That's why I wanted my models poses to be very soft and gentle and elegant and delicate
and graceful.
Almost like a lost soul, an emptiness of emotions and almost like searching for that lost feeling
and that's really where the name for the series also came from, searching for that lost feeling.
As it was a hair shoot I really wanted the viewer's attention or the viewer's eye to
be uninterrupted which is why there's no clothing or accessory styling purely for that reason
in this shoot and I think it's worked.
I think it's really truly added to the depth of the image and worked in drawing the viewer
in.
I mean it's a beautiful series and it's already being loved by a lot of people and I'm truly
happy with the way it's turned out and well, what can I say, great teamwork.
