Early on in the relationship, we sent Brian an application to date my friend.
It included things like basic biographical information about him, a series of short answer
questions, and some math problems.
I've already shared with you three things I love about Emily, but we asked Brian that
same question.
I'd like to share with you the three things he said.
First, her brain.
I really like how much she thinks and her sense of humor and appreciation for the absurd.
Two, her dreams.
She shared with me her vision for her medical work and what she wants to accomplish, what
she spends her spare time thinking about.
It's beautiful.
And number three, her attitude towards second chances.
Emily and Brian, may you be a couple who always give each other many chances and may
God use your marriage to bring you joy and bless many others.
Congratulations, I love you both.
When Emily wasn't being mean to me, she was actually a pretty good friend.
She was always someone I could always talk to about anything.
I really appreciated that.
I'm really happy that she's met Brian and I want to congratulate them on their wedding.
Brian is also a pretty cool dude.
He's like a brother to me.
He's also probably one of the nicest and most patient people I've ever met, which is
great for Emily.
And I want to wish them well.
Now, of course, this didn't happen alone by itself.
This is not something you do by itself, which is why I see fit to say a little bit about
our lovely Brian tonight.
Now, one of the most noble things that you can do as a human being is to ensure that
a malnourished child is fed.
Brian is about 5'10", actually my height, we're fairly identical on that front.
Before he started dating Emily Interest, he was 119 pounds hot, right?
One day after spending some time with my brother, he started gaining weight and I wonder what
the heck was going on and it turns out that when we finally went to our favorite Japanese
restaurant together, he sits down, he dutifully takes a picture of his plate when the food
comes out, he eats the food and then he takes another picture of his empty plate and I say,
Brian, what the hell are you doing?
And he looks at me quizzically as if we're the most obvious thing in the world and says,
Emily likes it when she sees my food and she's like, I finished my food.
The Lee family has been trying to get this boy to eat for three decades, at least.
Emily comes along and she does it in one fell swoop.
This is nothing short of a miracle, Emily, you have been such an amazing, amazing presence
in Brian's life, in the Lee family's life, we're so glad you are part of this family.
Thank you and together, I promise, we will smash all the square plates, that's a promise.
We will smash all the square plates, that's a promise.
We will smash all the square plates, that's a promise.
