Alright, so tell me, how do you feel about your son's first film?
This is not his first.
I have no idea what this one's about.
They feel very interesting.
It's not my taste, but I admire his talent.
Getting better, if he's going in that direction.
Probably achieve what he wants to achieve, and that's a high goal.
I'm proud of him.
My brother's really talented, I'm looking forward to this.
I don't know too much about this one, so...
Are we both creative?
We're both creative, but in this realm, it's definitely all him.
Are you serious, bro?
He wants to see you in his office.
Great, you did a great job.
How about your cameo?
I loved it.
Virgin, I didn't ask you to catch on.
I didn't ask you to catch on.
Never took a step back.
I'm proud of you, bro.
Good job, man.
That means a lot, right?
Awesome.
Really funny.
Well done.
What did you think of seeing yourself on camera?
It's fucking amazing.
I loved it.
He's a fucking genius.
You're the French guy, right?
I'm one of the French guys, yes.
You're the killer.
I wasn't the killer.
I beat the guy up pretty bad, but I wasn't the killer.
I thought I looked great on the camera.
You know what I'm saying?
Me and my being represented.
Shout out to Joey and Gironi.
You know what I'm saying?
I'm saying, hey, Polly, you're with his pops.
It was a great film.
Y'all maybe I was able to be a part of it, man.
Thumbs up.
Thanks.
Wow.
I'm in shock.
I'm in cinematography shock, right?
I mean, just bare minimum.
I need to watch it two or three more times until I can formulate a sentence about what
I just saw.
I followed Joey and Gironi's career, everything he's done from as early as possible, and there
were things that he did in that movie that I'd never seen before from him or from anybody
else.
It was very interesting and eclectic and very different, and I think that Joey has a lot
of potential in the future, and his work should be more recognized by other important people
because he will be dressed in ice-cream as one of the most beautiful in that movie.
You should tell me, was it like being the sage or whatever your character was?
The sage spiritual guide, it was good.
It's a little bit different from the regular character, but then it evolved into the killer,
the murderous instincts that I naturally have in Joey and Gironi's films.
Is this your second film with him?
Second film.
Actually, yeah, this is the second main role.
I've had some cameos, I've had small roles.
How would you describe his directing or filmmaking style?
Style is entirely unique to him as a director.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Is there anything in particular that was your favorite?
I like the scene where I got beat up.
I like that a lot.
I think it looked really good.
The way Joe edited it was really cool.
Yeah, all the scenes where I get hurt, I think I like the most.
It's all it is.
Gironi is to me, seeing myself on camera, it's kind of strange.
So seeing myself kind of get checked was fun.
Thank you.
What was more difficult to shoot on your part as an actor?
One of the physical scenes where I was getting thrown down mountains and getting beat up,
because we did some for real.
We didn't have some people, so we got a little bruised up.
But I think it looked good, I think it looked real.
Joe made it really nice and it made it really easy.
He really listens to what the actors had to say and we all kind of got to contribute and form it as it went.
So it was cool.
It was a lot of fun.
My first sort of thing and I'm glad it was with Joe.
I'm happy with it.
Awesome.
Alright, thank you.
Thank you.
I left the dark scenes dark.
I didn't do any color correction.
I'm not going to spend money and time to try and make something that looks like everybody else's.
You didn't even see an hour-long movie.
It's like I'm saying the whole concept of the character.
You're new right away and at the end, it's like you grasp.
That was like the first time you see him.
That was the first time he ever acted because he's never even been in anything else.
That's why I say you really elevated that scene.
You know your intensity, like in that close-up.
Just nobody makes movies that you have to see more than once.
It's either you see it once, make an opinion and you're done with it.
But as far as the Warm War, there's no better movie that I could have seen on this night at this time, this day, this location.
I'm eternally grateful for it.
Tonight, Warm War, right here, 2nd Street, 2nd Avenue.
