To clarify, let me say that this video was not shot in Bolivia or Brazil.
It is just the same about the jungles around the world.
This video contains no people whatsoever, no people at all.
It is, however, about the indigenous people everywhere, and specifically, today, the human
beings in Bolivia and Brazil.
In Bolivia, there is a move afoot to contaminate the homelands of the indigenous people.
The people of Bolivia, because politicians believe that they are poor people.
How does one define poor?
Politicians in Bolivia believe that these people are far too isolated.
How does one define isolation?
I am not familiar with the politics of Bolivia, but I am aware of the politics in other countries.
There are, in other countries, people who run for office because it is in their best interest.
It is the third easiest way to make money.
Being in office, they believe, is a great way to peddle influence to the rich and mighty.
People be damned.
I am willing to bet a dollar, sorry, that is all I can afford today, but I smell a rat
in Bolivia.
Could it be, and I am just asking here, could it be that the push to displace the indigenous
people in Bolivia is all about money and big business?
I read about the intimidation of the native people in their drunken homes.
I read about the lynching, the murder, the burnings of homes, the killing of babies and
women, just as in the history of the so-called civilized industrial countries.
Could it be because they are of a different race, different people?
Once again, it seems that the naval people of Brazil are under attack, just as in other
countries.
With, unfortunately, the tacit support of politicians.
These people have no value, they say.
The use of the land is far more important than the people.
Destroying the jungle is progress.
It is the order of the day, so they say.
You may well be sitting at your laptop watching this, saying to yourself that your country
is far too civilized for anything like that to happen here, is it?
Look around you.
What is the ratio of jungle to concrete?
Is there a privileged race where you live?
Do they still murder young unarmed men because it is tradition?
Are people still divided by race, government supported, look at their forms, and made to
believe that one is superior to the other?
Do you personally take pride in the adjective, color adjective, in front of your nationality
as a source of pride?
See what I mean?
Making people to believe in the trivialities that suggest separation makes it so much easier
for good people to do nothing.
Why do I care about the indigenous people everywhere?
Because I am a part of the human race, the only race that matters.
The fact that indigenous blood run through my veins is really not that important, nor
is it the impetus for sharing this information.
I am a part of the human race.
Sitting in front of my big TV, admiring my brand new car and my concrete driveway does
not allow me to not care.
The killing of your child is my business.
The rape of your daughter is my business.
The destruction of your forest is my business.
The separation of you from your natural spirituality as a sellout for money is my business.
I see life in very simple terms.
I am my brother's keeper.
Even though my brother, even though he's thousands of miles away.
What you do to my brother, you also do to me.
As an uneducated man, and I am, I still try my best to see through the fog of politics
and think for myself.
Of course, because I am a human being, my conclusions are not always correct.
I try to see through the smoke of hate and fear and read into the motives of so-called
politicians.
And I try to ask this question every time I hear a political speech.
What are you really selling?
Is this separating me from my brother and sister?
Is it a veil to disguise the destruction of a people or person, even if they live in
a jungle home?
Look, I'm not telling you to think as I do.
All I'm asking you to do is to think for yourself and reach your own conclusions.
All I'm asking you to do is to think for yourself and reach your own conclusions.
All I'm asking you to do is to think for yourself and reach your own conclusions.
