I'm Preda Vučko and sports photographer from Serbia.
I got the idea for this kind of photo shooting in my dreams, as I usually do when it comes to some special projects.
This time it was BMX riding in water environment.
I was really excited during the preparations of the photo shoot, finding the right location, choosing the BMX rider and the whole crew.
The building of this pool took 11 days.
14 trucks, 15 workers, 145 cubic meters of dirt, 25 cubic meters of sand, 15 cubic meters of concrete.
Varro Hernandez, BMX rider from Spain, was my choice after a few thinking.
I started riding 5 years ago. In May I won the FIS World Series in Montpelier.
In June I made it to the finals at Barcelona Extreme World Circuit Championship.
Why did I choose BMX in water?
That is because I wanted to make a connection between two elements, the air and the water, because my specialty is also underwater photography.
It will be tricky, huh? Just be careful.
How do you feel?
It feels like I'm riding with flat tires.
Do you like water or more practice?
I knew that Fred Rack is a photographer who works with water and a lot underwater.
And I really like how it works with the color and water splashes.
When I was thinking about this photo shooting, I knew that water from the pool can be enough for perfect splash.
I used my assistance to control the splashes.
I was so happy to work with him.
I was expecting something unique and a lot of water.
One of you made a film on the rear wheel.
After a couple of hours of shooting in cold water, the whole crew was exhausted, but the outcome with the pictures was fantastic.
Thank you for watching.
