Another absolutely beautiful day in a very well manicured park.
It may be winter, spring, summer or fall, but everything is prepared for the visitor
wanted to just get away from it all.
Unfortunately, the benches are empty today again.
And why not?
The news was very clear about not trusting and interacting with others.
Especially strangers.
Besides, we would rather stick to people that we like and trust.
People of our own culture if you know what I mean.
Things were so much better in the old days.
After all, in today's news they told us about a clergyman and what he did to that poor child.
Then there was the baby that died from blunt force trauma.
That happened in some foreign country though.
And they suggested blunt force trauma as if any other death of a baby would have been
acceptable.
That of course could never happen here.
Our government would not allow such a thing to happen to a baby here.
I see gasoline prices are going up and up, but of course no one expected that to happen.
Speaking about gasoline or oil to be exact, there was another spill, but not to worry.
They will dispatch a team to clean the affected birds.
And once again, the Middle East is in turmoil, and that is a surprise.
And then they tell us stuff that we can do nothing about.
For example, 500 million kids, is that a half a billion?
Yeah, I think it is.
500 million kids are starving in Africa.
But that's way, way far away.
Besides, according to the news, it is their government's fault, not ours.
We have more than enough food here.
And if any of our children are hungry, then it's their fault, really.
Our government created programs to take care of hungry children everywhere.
There's nothing we can do about the news, but we can't protect ourselves from strangers.
So the benches are still empty, which is okay by me, because I will sit on a bench, hopefully
undisturbed by a stranger, as I enjoy this beautiful day.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
