We had no idea what to expect. Transylvania, I guess that's where we're going.
Romania, you hear about it, you know about it.
Dracula, castles, we were excited. This was our first chance to race in Europe.
Romania totally blew us away.
We're a group of passionate athletes. They're not covered in logos.
We want to show how the sport of cycling can bring individuals, communities and cultures together.
Immediately, it just fulfilled all of our wildest imaginations.
Cobblestones, there's the old buildings. People are really friendly.
We wanted to go race on these small streets and in the cities.
In other ways, it completely surpassed even our wildest expectations.
We didn't even need to sit down.
When we would say hi to them or say something back to them in English, we just saw their excitement.
We just pulled them along.
This is not something we just started. This is something that we've dedicated our lives to.
And we've been traveling all over the world to show how good we are.
Taiwan, Azerbaijan, Korea, the chance to go racing in Europe, that was it.
Europe's cycling.
100% of this year, our success can be achieved through the guys working together as a team.
We have really, really talented athletes as individuals, but the success has come because they've been working as a group.
Cycling is a team sport. Your life is a team sport.
You want to work with others to achieve bigger things than you can achieve in yourself.
They've fully committed themselves this year, and that's really one of the successful results of this year.
This wasn't the plan. It wins, it reigns. I mean, everything.
It wasn't just that the odds were stacked against him. I mean, everything was against him.
But I think like so many things this year, the success has come when we haven't planned it.
He went with one other rider, he dropped the other rider, and he rode solo by himself for the last, I mean, hour and a half of the race.
Everyone told him he couldn't do it.
We didn't question ourselves, just like I'm sure he questioned who was on the bike.
Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.
Go, go, go, Edwin, come on.
We made it every five minutes. You know, we got close to the finish line.
You know, he believed, he believed that it was possible.
We had to meet him.
We're in Romania. We're racing in Europe.
And we just had our biggest, biggest win, I think, for the team, it's for real.
What?
You want to fight him?
Fight him?
Oh, my God.
Yeah.
All the guys are asking, I'm anxious.
What are we doing with the success that we've had this year?
We've gone to these places, we've won these races.
Kazakhstan, Iran, November, Rwanda.
All these, one of these.
The team of England, we're out there, we're doing it.
