Well, this is the fourth year of the race. It's the first year that I've had the privilege
to be race director, and I'm really enjoying it. It's such a fantastic event. We've got
6,000 entries this year. We've got over 15 charities come on board. The future of this
race is looking good.
I congratulate all the 6,000 runners who reached the start, and I hope they'll have a fun day.
It shows the community spirit, I think. Everyone's getting together. It's everyone's at a really
good mood. Lots of people here already. You can feel the excitement as well. Everyone seems
really happy to be here, and we've got other people volunteering to help too, and our runners
have to create themselves.
I'm glad everyone's done that. You know it's a bit cold this morning. I'm glad everyone's here
as well, so look forward to it.
It's fun.
I think it's great to get so many young kids racing and show them how awesome it can be
to do something as simple as running wherever they finish, how quick they do it. It's not
about finishing fast, it's about enjoying it and doing it with your friends. I hope they're
going to carry it with them for a long time.
Thank you.
Thank you.
It's always a great event, and year-on-year there's been more and more crowds, and we're
still having courses to become a bigger race, and I really enjoyed it today and it was fantastic
to win it.
It's been a really fun race. There's support along the way. I have a lot of friends in Oxford
who are out cheering, and then just a lot of people in the community, so yeah, it's good.
Thank you.
