What's up guys? DJ Zimmy, I'm on the road in Europe with DJ Jazzy Jeff and his team
helping out with some photo and video work. Some people had hit me up and asked me kind
of what my day to day is like because the schedule is pretty nuts. So tomorrow I'm
just going to film my whole day and I'll show you guys. I don't really know what it's
going to be like because every day is different but it's probably going to be crazy as every
day is pretty much crazy. So it's two o'clock in the morning. I'm going to try to go to
sleep and I'll see you tomorrow. It's nine a.m. and I'm up. I don't want to be up. I want
to sleep. I want to go to the gym before we go to Paris because you don't work out that
much on the road and you're like an asshole. So here we go. We're staying in an apartment
in Manchester. Most of the time we stay in hotel rooms. This has kitchen which is nice
because you can do your laundry and cook your food. Do the laundry as key because you only
have to pack a week's worth of clothing. You can stop and do laundry once a week.
I'm also filming today on the GoPro. So thank you to the GoPro team for hooking us up with
cameras and also through my emails about setting questions and all that.
Alright, it's 11.30. Everybody was raving about this place. Byron Burger.
So I'm walking there to get food before we leave. Everyone else ate stuff so I'm going
to go buy myself.
Alright, so I'm heading back to the hotel. We have a 12.15 lobby call. Basically just
needed to be in the lobby at 12.15. The call will be there. Off to the airport. London
Heathrow for like the 17th time. Airport security again every day. Off to Paris. See
that. This is Steve. What's up? Steve's a road manager. Now we're in the car, going
to the airport. Okay, I lied. We're not at London Heathrow or Manchester Airport. Going
through the baggage struggle. It's 1.30. The airport. We got here at one. We don't have
a gate yet. So we just have to sit in the middle of nowhere until they give us a gate
and then we can go to the gate and hang out. They took, as usual, they took all the shit
out of all of our bags because we have all kinds of electronics.
We're going to the airport. We're going to the airport. We're going to the airport.
We're going to the airport. We're going to the airport. We're going to the airport.
We're at the Paris airport. We got to go through customs again. We don't have a sound check.
Normally we'd have a sound check. We get some time off. We're going to go to the Eiffel
Tower, I think, and then the gigs at 11 o'clock tonight. Now we're in the car on the way to
the hotel. We just got to the hotel for a mama shelter in Paris. Crazy. It's 6 o'clock.
The gigs at 11, unless it rains, it gets moved to 1am. I don't know why. I don't have a sound
check. The room's pretty sweet. So we'll probably eat something, maybe take a nap, do some computer
work. I take my orders from somebody else. It's 8 o'clock. Not that much has happened.
I took a shower, tried to iron some clothes unsuccessfully. I think we're going to take
a cab or something to the Eiffel Tower and eat some food, I hope. We also just found
out that Prince died, so that sucks.
This is the Eiffel Tower.
We just saw the Eiffel Tower, driving back to the hotel for the gig. We also just drove
to the tunnel where Prince is dying. I don't want to say killed, but she was killed.
It's two something in the morning, 2.15. I haven't actually eaten a meal since the
burger you saw me eat at 11.30 am. I'm dying. I think we're going to order a pizza right
now. It's 3.30 in the morning. We just got pizza. The last meal I had was at 11.30 this
morning. I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. It'll be like 4 o'clock and that's
it.
