My dad, my groupie, you always ask me why I love you, and I always ask you why I love
you, and I always try to spread it in a list of reasons. Aside from your obvious beauty,
it's how you take care of me, your ego, your determination, your passion, your roots for
your culture, your determination, and the feeling I get knowing that you always love me. I promise
I'll always love you for these reasons, and the many more I didn't mention. I also promise I'll
never stop having our date nights at the Leigh School in the Stanley Cobb, that I'll keep you
cozy in the long Canadian winters, continue my stupid dance moves, solve all problems before we go
to sleep, explore the world with you, be a great dad, look after you as you do me, give you hugs
and kisses all the time, spoon you in bed, and most importantly, to never stop loving you into
your role. Really old with you. I love you, baby. Yeah, keep that. If someone had told me two years
ago, I would be standing here. I would have thought they were crazy. And yet here we are.
Today, in front of our parents, with our closest ones, you guys standing right beside us,
I promised to put you first, ahead of all the elves, and most times, even myself.
I promise to work on us and keep forging on, even though at times it may be difficult to do so.
And while I can't promise you the perfect marriage,
I will vow to be the best wife, friend, and partner you will ever meet.
I thank you for every step you've taken with me to get us here, and all those steps ahead of us
that stretch into a lifetime of laughter, tears, and your dynamic dance moves.
I love you, Jesse. I will be with you wherever this road leads us,
as long as that road doesn't lead to a country music concert.
I will be with you wherever this road leads us, as long as that road doesn't lead to a country music concert.
