Hello, I'm Logan Sims and you're watching Wolfpack Now on Pack TV.
We're here today at Reynolds Calls seeing for coverage of the NCAA Women's Selection
Show.
Let's go inside and find out what seed will the NCAA Wolfpack receive.
All right, I'm here with the ACC coach of the year, Wes Moore.
Coach, how did you feel this season went?
Well, it's going well so far.
We started out November, December, we hit a couple of bumps in the road and then after
Christmas came back, knocked off Notre Dame, knocked off Florida State on the road and
just really proud of the way these kids have overcome some early adversity.
We have some scores, when we get hot on offense, oh, threes for days, it's awesome.
So I'm really excited, honestly, just to see their reaction.
They work so hard and so just to see them get rewarded with such an honor as to go
to the NCAA tournament.
I'm just...
I thought we had a great season, you know, we'd be four top ranked teams, finished fourth
in the ACC.
I feel like we did really well.
Like Coach Moore said, we had some bumps in the road early, but after Christmas we came
back.
Do you have a favorite memory from this season?
Honestly, the way we routed Carolina after they, you know, gave us a little whooping
when we were there, oh, the way we played against them at home was amazing.
Yeah, we did.
We had a lot of good ones, you know, obviously Notre Dame, I think they were second or third
in the country.
We went against them and then going the road to Florida State, another top 10 team, going
the road at Louisville.
So a lot of highlights, but hopefully we got even bigger ones to go, you know?
I mean, this whole season has been great.
I mean, it's my last year, so just coming into practice every day, knowing that I only
get so many left of these, the weight room, every game, you know, it's just, it's my last,
it's my last to go around.
So I'm just excited.
And I know we obviously wanted to host the game here in Reynolds, but we will be heading,
the Interstate WPAC will be heading to Texas as a sixth seed to take on Auburn.
But if you could pick one team to play in the tournament, who would it be?
UConn.
Just because, I mean, they're the team that everybody wants to be.
And I know that they're UConn, but I would take my team over their team any day.
Oh, I'm trying to play UConn.
I'm trying to knock off UConn.
Be the first team to beat him in 120 games?
Yeah, I don't know.
Maybe a middle school team or something, you know, that'd be great if we could get a match
up like that.
Better results.
Again, I just want to thank you guys for all you're being there for us.
Though the Play For K game was a sellout, senior day was very close to a sellout.
We'd like that to become commonplace, so we'll look forward to playing for that next year.
