In fact, it's a bust, it's Louis XIV's bust.
You have to take your time, and I say that because it's also very educational
for the people watching to take their time to explore a sculpture
and not to go too fast with our eyes.
We realized that this tactile approach, which was clean in the name of the audience,
was particularly interesting for the people watching,
as they could discover and learn about sculpture,
its materials, the texture, the softness, the roughness, the coldness, the heat,
by touching them.
The touch allows the artist to have the same approach
and to go deeper into the work.
Not only on the surface,
but we are in the work, we go deep into it, with the movement, the breathing,
we touch, we are in the work.
It's quite special to have a space like this one,
where people are authorized, and beyond the authorization,
we strongly incite them to discover the sculpture by touching it.
So it's also an experience that will reduce the symbolic distance
that we can find between the museum, the work and the visitor,
because we are going to create an intimate atmosphere between a hand, a visitor, and an object.
We can see that for a children's audience, especially the maternal and the young,
the touch is very important.
It's something that allows them to memorize and learn about space.
The fact that having this relationship between sculpture and their own body
is something important, because they are going to be active
and they will really be able to solicit several of their senses.
The Gallery Taxi is a unique, multi-sensorial experience.
We invite you to come and discover it and dream of the Louvre Museum.
