Namaste my name is Samu La Sresna, I like to... I like to...
We found kids at Kathmandu about a year and a half ago. We're based out of New York,
but we're supporting an orphanage, which is now in Bahtapur, Nepal. They have a building.
It's a lot of work, but it's quite nice, it's a beautiful building.
We met these kids in February of 2010 and we spent our honeymoon in an orphanage in Nepal.
We utilized the arts in New York to support what the kids need most.
We did a desk project where some designers and woodworkers designed desks
and we sold them at an auction and the money for the children's desk went to pay for the education of the children.
So we're trying to do a direct relationship between the projects that we're doing in New York and the outcome here in Nepal.
Everything that we do goes through Hope and Home and they're people that we trust and this is what they do.
This is what they do, this is their expertise, so we feel very lucky to have come in contact with Hope and Home.
We started Hope and Home actually six and a half years before. We are working with sick orphanages and one disabled centre.
My main job is to coordinate between the kids of Kathmandu and NYCTS.
We actually started this program to make a pool between poor volunteers and orphaned house so that kids in orphanages get many benefits.
We have tried our level best to support the poor and needy students, especially the students from orphanage.
They are little bit behind than other normal students.
So we want to provide every opportunity so that they can get a bright future.
So we want to join our hands with many other kind hands, kind hearts to give the children better education, better life and better future.
Today we have 19 children and 20 children. We are working with every single person, every single donor.
We are working with all our resources, including education, food, medicine, health care, medicine, and many other things.
We are working with all our resources, including education, medicine, health care, medicine, and many other things.
So our basic goal is to continue to come to Nepal and build the relationship with the kids because the whole foundation of kids of Kathmandu is these kids.
I think we are trying to help these kids but they have given us more than, I don't know, they have given up a lot.
So it feels like the least we can do is try and get something back to them.
Hi, I'm Jamie. And I'm Andrew.
We are at Nepal Kathmandu!
