Now don't get me wrong, I like paddling in California.
It's just that as an extreme kayaker, I've done everything that California
has to offer. There are no more rivers in California that
haven't been run. We've kind of
borrowed this airplane. In high school I took flying lessons so we're
okay there. So we're flying someplace remote.
First thing though is we need to make sure that our stuff fits in this airplane.
Get our north fast.
Where are we going?
Where are we going? Idaho.
I don't even think they have starbucks there so it's definitely remote and definitely
unrun rivers. First we need to find a river and then
I think we need to find like a potato field or something next to it.
And to really see where we're going I need to open up the window.
Oh sh**, there's my...
We need to go back. You're helping me out here.
I can't remember where the autopilot is.
We found an airstrip, a field
next to a river. There's a river there and that's all good.
But one of the boats is missing.
We think maybe it came off over Nevada because the plane
started wanting to turn to the right at that point.
We'll see what happens. The only good news is that it wasn't a boat.
Fortunately, there's a small town nearby
and it turns out that there are some people in Idaho that paddle.
We were able to kind of borrow a boat.
And now we're getting ready to get on the river
and see what happens.
It's been a great day so far.
Sun run river. Easy step up above
just with normal class 5 stuff.
Finally we get down. This is the kind of thing we like to see.
Unrun, gnarly, big rocks, big holes
recirculating from hundreds of yards down.
A river that hasn't been run.
Maybe once.
We'll see what happens.
We'll see what happens.
