Coelbizac is a Peruvian company that is a pioneer in the rural and productive electric market.
Coelbizac has developed experiences as an energy distributor in remote areas, creating conditions
to bring private investment, contributing to the productive growth of its customers and improving the quality of life.
We have seen Ica transform all the desert of Villacurí in a fertile and agricultural area.
For agriculture, export, the electric energy is as important as water.
And with that, they have achieved a better profitability, and that has prompted them to develop.
The electric consortium of Villacurí, Coelbizac, started in 1994 as a private initiative
to light up a law that promoted investment in the electric sector.
It is in these arid Ica scenarios where the trend of a network began that electrified the plant of Villacurí.
Where agricultural entrepreneurs burned oil in their engines to be able to pump water from the depths
and thus irrigate their fields.
A practice that limited its growth by the high costs of the fuel.
We could not have more than one or two wells, so therefore we could not irrigate many areas,
we could not grow in cultivation.
We have water, but the water is under the ground.
So we need large-caliber bombs, and these work with electric engines.
So when we have electric energy, all that costs decreases,
since we do not use groups or stationary engines either.
Water and electricity together have allowed that in just over 20 years
the agricultural border has grown from 500 to 25,000 hectares until 2014.
The energy part is synonymous with production.
It has made it possible for us to grow at a portable level.
And we feel very good to carry out important projects, to be actors of this story.
Coelbizac has more than 50 megawatts of power contracted
to donate electric supplies to free and regulated clients,
achieving an operational and commercial efficiency that allows them to compete in this market.
It has 700 kilometers of network in 22.9 kilowatts
and has built about 320 substations in its concession areas.
It has transmission systems in 60 kilowatts, a transformation substation
and also transmissions and distribution lines of third parties.
To support and continue these operations,
the company has a highly trained personnel
who is attentive to every technical detail and is available
to go to where their clients need them.
The attention to the client is practically personalized.
When a client comes to us and lights up the problem they have,
we give them a solution to that problem.
This is the inauguration of the Hydro-Energetical Project of Olmos Irrigation.
To participate in the Olmos Irrigation project in La Mayeque,
Coelbizac accepted a historic and new challenge to overcome it in Nica.
The construction of a development town with an industrial park
involves roads, involves connectivity, energy.
This project comes to everyone.
It comes to the businessmen who are putting their money
and who are betting and investing with confidence for 25 years in a desert.
Here is the investment of Peru, here is the businessman
who is playing it for the country.
For us it is the opportunity to repeat this experience
with greater possibilities of success
because of this project and also because of the importance it has for La Mayeque.
This is the case of Olmos.
For example, we have made a very large system there
that has several redundancies.
It has been thought precisely to achieve all the possible time
of attention without interruptions.
We have all the capacity to be able to cover all the demands
that can be presented in the future.
One or two years, all this desert area will be green.
The capacity of La Lidia allows us to think or dream
that one day there will be hundreds of thousands of hectares
cultivated and taking electric energy to our lands.
