Here's what's going on.
Balls on my back.
Pussers always on.
Never able to fix on my own.
The way we drift.
The turns and the ball.
Rocks against the wall.
There was a ceremony, a hardcore punk band from Marooner Park, California.
We started out just playing punk songs, fast punk songs.
There was a lot of friends from mine in high school who were into the hardcore scene and
I didn't really know what it was.
I was more into like minor threat and black flag at that time and just like fast punk.
But I didn't know what hardcore was.
I thought it was just punk rock that was fast.
We just all psyched off for a good ass hardcore music and we wanted to make some art.
We grew in from like thrashy hardcore songs and we tried to do something that was more
power violence.
And now we're going back to like punk or punk roots is what we want to do in Marooner Park.
There was a lot of girls to do like one like seven inch of like older sounding like punk
songs. Yeah, another seven inch of like hell weird of an experimentist. But by the time
it was time to record we couldn't tell what songs to put on my wish.
So we just combined everything.
I think Northern California, there's stuff coming from all over the place.
There's a lot of weird bands.
So Cal, I don't know.
I mean, I don't really know much about the scene in So Cal.
I just know that we come here and we have really fucking good shows.
I was taking a creative writing class at the Santa Rosa Junior College and the teacher
that I had kind of got me into poetry.
I wasn't very familiar with it and I started writing poems and formatting poems and I wanted
to do that with the ceremony lyrics and I did it in like a month.
I called the people at Bridge Nines like I want to do a book like we help me do a book
and I said, yeah, sure.
So I did all the whole lyrics, the whole discography of lyrics and then some normal poems that
I just wrote for personal and then a short story and they said they want to put it out.
So I was like, cool.
And there's like photos from tour.
There's a photo of Jake jumping off a cliff naked, which is cool.
It's got his big flexing butt, all like, oh.
Well the band that we wanted to watch is playing right now, so you guys are basically ruining
that.
