Semne is a small town in northern Laos, and there we met that cyclist couple.
They already cycled 1,300 km and they were curious about our electric bicycles and especially
our solar panels.
After sharing some info about the route, we kept setting up all the panniers to depart.
It took us 2 days to do 100 km going up and down hill, when we stopped at Huangman Village.
We were lucky to meet Kamla, a young guy that speaks a bit of English and offered to
show us the village.
It took us to his school and said that not every kid here can go to the school.
Some of them has to work or to stay at home to take care of their brothers while their
parents work.
Looking at these childs playing games, we keep having Kamla's words in mind.
Our next stop was a small restaurant on the road.
We were worried about the menu, so we undecided to get in the kitchen and cook.
So finally, we had something delicious that day.
We arrived at Ponsaban next day and first thing we did was to go to the hospital to
check to Jan's stomach.
After a few questions, doctors decided that she needed some pills and an injection.
She wasn't very happy, it was the first time she got an injection at her bottom.
Once that was solved, we went to visit some Ponsaban hot spot.
The two electric cyclists walking under a sand, or right now there's a cloud, but anyway.
At midday, because you know, we really like to sleep.
So there's no way to wake up my beautiful wife before eight o'clock or nine o'clock
in the morning.
We visited the sites at midday and we cycled also at midday, which is fantastic.
We went to the plain of charge, a famous heritage area we lived to have been done thousands
of years ago, but they have become the place where to do a wedding photo shooting for locals.
We said goodbye to Ponsaban and we were heading to Vien Tien.
And everything seems not to go as we planned.
Just on our way from Phuk Nung to Vien Tien, we're going downhill and everything seems
to be perfect, but then suddenly when we cross this beautiful mountain that we see before,
it starts pouring down and now we're completely soaked.
We're going to have to put the big rain covers, because it's really, really pouring down.
And we hope that stopped raining a little bit, so we can keep pedaling and then we can
arrive to Lien Bien today.
After a while we'll face another mountain, but seems not very, very steep, so shouldn't
be a big deal.
And then the last 30 kilometers also flat and going down.
So we keep cycling and suddenly we're standing again, as if it hasn't been pouring down half
an hour before.
