When they do that, you crack, go to court for the pigs, I'm poppin' crack, pocket's fat like porky the pig
I cock it back, I pop it back, add the thoughts in your head, cause I'm a fella, you be tellin' just the shorty
It was probably 1996, I mean my first and next date, and I had, I remember I had Eminem's first record ever
It was called Just The Two of Us, not the out, not the 97 buddy and Clyde, the first version of it with the actual sample from Just The Two of Us
gangsta work or something
My mixtapes have changed through time, like back in the day, I used to have a lot of complex blends and intros
Really a lot of different influences, like Greenland and Clinton Sparks is one of my good friends
The way we were doing intros back then was really unique in the way Primo used to do, like, Primo's pretty much one of my biggest influences all the way around
Now it's different, when I do a mixtape now, it's more production based, you know, I kind of fell back with all the crazy scratches
We're in a different world now, I still cut on shit more than anybody, but people don't want to hear all this crazy, they bring it back hundreds of times and shit
One of the Nas mixtapes I did, or, I don't know, I like the look of love scenes though
Yeah, I was going to say my personal favorite is probably the Nas prophecy while in one, I think that was just such a revolutionary mixtape
Because it was like, people love Nas so much, you know what I mean?
But sometimes you love an artist but you don't get to hear him exactly how you want to hear him, you know what I mean?
So a DJ might be able to know exactly what the fans are looking for
The Boston MBOB scene is, uh, ever changing, it's always changing, like, there's a lot of influence there from New York, there's a lot of influence from the South, there's a lot of influence from the Midwest
I just feel like there's all, like, there's just so many different artists, you've got cats like Smoke Bulger, and you've got an artist like Mr. Lyft, and then you've got an artist like Mass Pike Miles, and then you've got an artist like, you know, Esoteric
You've got Rex, and then you've got Crumb Snudger, then you've got Tom, and then you've got Slain
There's so many different sounds, it's like one artist, like, look at Mass Pike Miles, he's signed with Rick Ross
So he's going to sound like whatever Rick Ross is doing, more like R&B, Diddy, big records, then you've got Mr. Lyft, who's like totally underground, you know what I mean?
Against the government type hip hop, and it's like, we can all live in this one society and all get along, we all rap the same thing, Boston
The sounds are totally different, it's crazy
I don't think people mention the East Coast rap anymore, like, New York, now we're looking like, the East Coast is looking better than ever with, you know, what me and Term got going on
With Joelle, you know, blowing up, signed machine, the whole slaughterhouse
Yeah, the whole, um, there's some new talent in New York now
You know, Corey Gunn got signed, there's a lot of things always going on in New York, you know what I'm saying?
I'll say definitely the East was in the shot before
When I was a kid, my mom was dating this guy, his name was Free, shout out to Free, and he used to rap a lot, not professionally, he just so cracked
And he was standing in front of the building, telling me what he was doing, you know, in the early 90s, like, 91, 92 time
And they used to always just freestyle, so I used to just chill with them all day, freestyle with them, and, you know, just kind of learn off how they went off the dome and just playing dice and freestyling
And from then it just, it was, I wrote one rap and I had the same rap, I was kicking it for years until it got played out and then I needed another one
And then, you know, like Wu-Tang came out in like 93 and I would, you know, follow them and love their music and just rhyme to their beats until I started writing my own tracks to other people's beats, eventually going demos and never stop
I think record labels are bullshit
Exceptional
All of them
Exceptional
Even the ones we own, I own ST Records, they don't show off, fuck them
I heard they don't, I heard they don't play their artists
I'll start it off, I think Gangsta is, if not D1, you know, definitely one of the top, you know, 2, 3, 5, you know what I'm saying, MobbD, Outcast, EPMD, Eric B and Rock Kim, P Rock and CL Smooth, 1982
All those guys
There's a lot, man, Kujiru, Rap and Polo
Yeah
Azi and Oz
I think the reason why those names that we set up are some of the best is because they made the most impact on hip hop as a 2 man group or they made the best music or best albums, best singles, best trends, you know what I'm saying
The best duo ever
What do you think stat?
Maybe Mark Anthony and JLo
It's a pretty good duo
JZ and Beyonce, that's a good duo
Peanut Butter and Jelly, that's pretty good
KG and Paul Pierce
Weed and Dush Masters
Mike and Pippin
Condom and
Stakin' Eggs
Condom and Sex
Pussy and Dick
