All right, see you in class.
I would say U of H is definitely a diverse, very awesome place to go to.
I chose U of H because it's close to home and it was affordable for me.
I visited U of H in my senior year of high school and had a great experience
interacting with professors, viewing the facilities. U of H seemed very community oriented.
My dad went through the engineering college, so I'm very familiar with it.
And more than anything, it's in one of the largest cities in the nation, Houston.
My favorite part about U of H is the people, the culture.
There's so many different types of students here.
If America is the melting pot, then Houston is like the ultimate melting pot.
U of H has gotten much larger than when I first started coming here.
So there's always something new going on and something fun to experience.
Houston is a very diverse city.
That opportunity for an international perspective, I think really contributes to your education just living here.
Things are always happening here at U of H just because there's so much going on.
I am a very busy student organizing events with my sorority or dancing stuff.
There's so many opportunities there for students at the University of Houston.
Specifically, I work in biomedical engineering applications.
More specifically, drug delivery system.
U of H has a lot of research opportunities.
My specific focus in engineering has been in machine design and system modeling.
Getting to know professors, these guys are so smart.
They're very accessible. They're always there when we need them.
The professors have been really cool, very helpful.
They like to get to know you as a student.
They like to come to their office, like to have conversations.
I mean, they ask about your life more than just studies.
You want to feel at home. You want to feel like this is your place.
And that's how I felt with the Cullen College of Engineering.
That's why I chose it.
I graduated May. I'm going to continue doing some of the research I'm currently doing.
I will be having an internship at NASA day of C this summer, so I'm very excited about that.
I've gotten a return offer from BP starting in August.
The Engineering College has a career center. They help you find a job.
We've got such a huge alumni base that work right in Houston,
so there's a great set of opportunities that the Cullen College of Engineering can offer us.
Very well positioned to graduate. I'm really, really thankful for that.
If I could tell students one thing, it would definitely get involved.
Get a support group. Get some synergy going.
Move through your degree with some help.
Don't try to swim through on your own.
Work hard, but just try to have fun too.
Don't spend too much time studying.
Enjoy yourself. You're at U of A.
Houston has enhanced my perspective on life.
It's a beautiful city.
We're all working towards something, towards a goal.
There's so many opportunities here.
U of H is the best school in Texas.
I would pick Houston over any other city in the country.
