Hey guys, I'm Maria and welcome to my first ever Halloween tutorial here on YouTube for
my Glamoine series and this is for those of you who prefer the glamier, the more glittery
side of Halloween rather than the bloody, the ghostly, the scary one.
So this is also for those of you who don't necessarily have a Halloween costume prepared
and who want to kind of rely on makeup to be your costume.
So this is what I came up with, it's actually a look that I did last year on my Instagram,
I made a little mini tutorial, it went kind of viral, so I figured I'd bring it back again,
I'd post it on YouTube, I'd walk you through all the steps on how to create it, it does
require a little bit of an artistic hand but I have full faith that you guys can do it
and I can't wait to see your recreations of this look.
Okay, I'm gonna start off with my brow, gonna brush it out and then I'm going to use my
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow in Ebony, I use this one all the time whenever I want
my eyebrows to be their darkest and for this part I'm going to create a much thinner brow
than what I have, so I'm gonna start filling it in much higher than where the roots actually
grow out, I find that thinner eyebrows tend to look a little bit more evil, for lack of
a better word and I'm also going to arch them out, I'm gonna use my natural wolfies
right here to help with that.
So I'm going for very dark, very arched, thinner, wolfier kind of brows, so now I'm
just going to fill in the shape a little bit, make it sharper, make it denser, like that.
Next I'm gonna apply my primer all over my lid all the way up to the brow bone, but I'm
going to avoid my little brow hairs, so I'm gonna apply my concealer there.
To conceal the hairs I'm just gonna dot on Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer, as you guys
know it is very opaque, then I'm just going to blend it out over the hairs using a little
concealer brush, don't worry if it looks crazy from up close, from far away no one's
gonna be able to tell a thing.
This is how you shear out those brows, if you want to get rid of any concealer on your
brows that are actually meant to be black, just use a little spoolie, there you go.
So now I'm setting that concealer with a bone colored eyeshadow, this one is pre-game
from Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics, just a yellowish sort of bone color, bringing it
all the way down to the lid.
The next few shadows are from Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Contour Quad in Smoke, these
perfect for Halloween, they're so cool.
Fluffy brush, taupe shadow from the quad, working it into the crease, just giving myself
a little bit of definition, nothing too crazy, just a little eye contour.
Of course you can skip this step, you don't have to apply eye shadows at all, but I find
that the Halloween eye art will look better, so the liners will look better when there's
a little bit more contrast.
Small smudger brush, gray shadow, applying it to my crease, deepening that gradient,
also a little bit on the lower lash line, keeping it very cool for this makeup art look.
These eye shadows are really nice, they blend beautifully into each other, taking a little
bit of black shadow, popping it right into that soft little groove, that outer V corner
right there, and then I'm gonna blend it out in the next step.
Blending out the lower lash line using a slightly pointier fluffy brush, that way I can get
real precise blending.
Okay, don't go too crazy unless of course you want to, but this is enough for me, I'm
ready to start my liner work.
Almost forgot about that contrast and that lid color.
I'm using the lightest shade from the palette, and then whatever is remaining on the brush,
I'm just gonna highlight the brow bone.
And if you need to bring back a little bit of that gray, and that black.
The next thing that I'm doing is lining my lower lash line, just sharpening it a bit,
tracing out the wing.
This just helps me to know the direction of my lower lash line.
There, see?
It's not a straight line, nice.
Time for that liner, starting out with the wing.
So I just made the wing extra thick, and then I smudged out that lower lash line, and now
I'm going to start drawing my spider web.
First I'm gonna etch out where they would end, somewhere here, here, kind of like that.
And here is where I want them all to begin, in the outer corner.
So here I'm just drawing a very, very dramatic wing.
I'm just emphasizing the shape, I'm making everything bigger, longer, and thicker.
And now I'm just gonna perfect the shape real quick, there, boom.
Don't worry if it's not very neat at this point, I'm gonna teach you a trick, how to
perfect it.
The final one is the hardest.
Yay, I did it.
So now I'm gonna teach you guys how to clean up those lines, using a white liquid liner,
and I'm just creating contrast, also fixing imperfections.
So now I'm ready to do the webs.
Like that, and I feel like this one needs one more, there.
So now I'm just gonna add a little bit of glitter, glitter liner, and this also helps
to conceal imperfections a bit, and just a bit on that wing, there we go.
Okay, so the eyes are done, they don't necessarily have to match, if they do match they look
a little too much like stickers and not like you just spend a million hours putting this
makeup art on your eye.
So with that said, I'm just gonna finish up a little bit of my contour, I'm gonna use
Kevin Aucoin's contour, I'm gonna go kind of heavy, feel like you don't necessarily
have to have a very realistic contour for Halloween, you can go a little extra, do the
Maleficent cheekbones, also gonna contour my nose just a bit to make it extra thin and
pointy and witchy, not that this is a witchy look but why not.
For the blush, I'm gonna use Hervana from Benefit, I like this one, it's cool, it's
purple, it's kind of psychedelic, I think it brings the look together.
You don't want to have a super peachy or pinky blush, not the season for that.
For the highlight, I'm gonna use Artist Couture and this one is called Coco Bling, just gonna
diffuse it with a big brush, also gonna put some on my cupid's bow, a little bit on the
nose bridge, yes, I'm so ready.
And now for the lip, I'm gonna line my lips with Tartist, I'm gonna overemphasize my cupid's
bow by drawing a cross and then continuing along my lip shape, I think for Halloween
anything goes, you can play around with your features, this looks so funny right now, you
can emphasize them, exaggerate them, do whatever you want, make it this fun and for my lips
I'm gonna be using Tartist, Tartist lip paint in Naughty, I love this one, it smells so
good.
For the final touch, I'm just gonna add a little bit of black glitter to my lip and
this is Motives Glitter Pot in Ignite.
And here's the final look you guys, what do you think, Queen of the Spiderwebs or Queen
of the Night, whatever you guys want to call it.
I hope you liked this tutorial and I hope you get to try this look, if you try it, you
