I'm here to support women, to support unity, to support compassion, because that's what
we're coming together with.
And that's what's needed right now, so that's what we're here for.
Oh, the knitting community started the pink hat movement, all for that, and Donald Trump
was not my candidate, and he does not speak to me, he doesn't resonate with me, and we
deserve better.
Oh, that's great.
Oh, that's great.
Oh, that's great.
Oh, that's great.
The only thing I know is that if we get you wrong, text.
I'm here to show Mr. Trump and the whole world that even though we did not vote for
him, we are here and we count.
The sign is every time someone horrible comes into office and has politics that are based
on hatred and bigotry, everybody wants to go to Canada, like, you know, that's a recurring
joke, right?
I'm not going anywhere.
I was born in New York, I'm staying in New York, and Donald Trump's rhetoric, I don't
care for it.
He might be president, he's still a loser.
He's been a loser here since the 80s, he's still a loser, as a president.
He's a weak, pathetic man, his rhetoric of bigotry, you know, isn't going to go unconfested.
I think all these people here are a testament.
And the fact that we need more attention brought to women's rights and equal rights and, yeah,
reproductive rights, that's why I'm here.
What's at stake for you?
Oh, gosh.
That's a good question.
In your life.
Your turn.
Oh, that's a good question.
It's at stake for me.
Gosh.
That's a good question.
I know you're just for others.
I'm not even sure how it's relevant to my desires right now, but I'm just here to lend
voice.
That's it.
Yeah.
This is what democracy looks like!
I'm here because of this.
This is assumed.
We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.
What's at stake for you?
The rights of my friends, the rights of my loved ones, the rights of myself.
The rights of the artists!
Everything.
Women's rights? Civil rights?
You name it.
And that's why you're here today?
What's your primary thing?
Primary thing? To impeach Donald Trump.
You think that'll happen?
No, it won't happen.
What do you think will happen?
His ass can stay in the office for years and tear this country down and get rich.
I'm here with all my best friends to stand up for human rights.
What's at stake for you right now?
Health care. All my friends health care also.
I'm a white privileged woman in America, but I'm standing for the people that aren't as privileged.
What's at stake for you today?
My basic human rights are at stake for me today.
I think what's most important about being out here is showing solidarity and the fact that you're not going to get away with just anything.
We're all going to protest it.
We're all going to stand up.
It's all in.
Women's rights, you know, we ought to be able to have a daughter or her to be able to grow in the future
where she has her own respect for her own body and nobody has to be trying to invade on that.
So I might be around and look after her forever so there has to be a world where she can do it herself.
Why are you here? What's at stake for you?
We're here. This is my mom's first protest ever.
She has always been really scared to come, but I figured that Trump, she really is anti-Trump
and she's very worried for a lot of her family so I told her that we should go out and support women today.
What do you think? What do you think about this?
It's all great. You know, you've got to make a statement. So you've got to do what you've got to do.
You don't mind sitting here while we make a statement?
What's up?
You don't mind sitting here while we make a statement?
This is good. People need to voice their opinions. Get together. Unity is the key.
