Hi, I'm Garrett DeHart, I'm here at Georgia State University's Dallas Studios.
Starting with a collaboration of grad students, professional actors, professional makeup artists
throughout the country.
Initially we started with the idea of working with tail-to-heart directly.
The more we get into it the more as a group we decided to make it a little bit different
but we're using thematically and the characters are derived and inspired pretty directly
from tail-to-heart.
The reason we're going to Shane Morton is that it does a lot of really fantastic makeup
work and effects work here in town.
We decided to really kind of play with that and to help us through the process of creating
live action that looks like an animated oil painting.
It would work best to start that process and try to make as much as possible the actors
look like they're already painted.
Through the post-production process gives us that kind of depth that you get particularly
out of romantic painting and early romantic painting.
It's been a collaboration with students throughout the process, mostly grad students from Georgia
State working on the project in production.
With the principal photography and crew we're in the neighborhood of 60 or 70 people.
Just today we finished a shoot with almost 30 extras throughout the day.
We shot one scene that had 20 to 25 people in it and then those shots are also layered
multiple times to create what looks like two to three, four hundred people.
Larry Holden is just getting excited about going out and helping young filmmakers learn
and just on set everyone is really kind of attracted to him and he's always there with
advice and there to inspire everyone to create.
Just kind of doing kind of odd things, does that work?
Yeah.
Okay.
Oh excellent.
Good.
We hope to finish the film in right around January and have a premiere here in Atlanta
in the January, early February and then push out the festivals all around the country and
around the world.
I hope to bring on a couple people so if anyone is interested in working on some animation
3D graphics or 2D graphic animation, we're very interested in collaborating with other
students in finishing the project.
I think it's going to be fantastic.
Thank you so much for joining us today and we'll see you in the next one.
Bye.
Bye.
