Oh
We work with the use of wood.
Wood that dries, doesn't kill, or the wind destroys.
And rarely, we get someone who has to build a house,
anything, and then we take a license.
And we get to know, and we get this wood to work.
Here in the municipality of Almirante da Mandaré,
a municipality that has a lot of trees,
so for us it's not difficult to get,
because it's always happening to dry one or the other,
the wind also destroys, and so it goes.
In the past, when we worked with furniture,
we would pick up a wood, cut it,
and if there was any problem with the wood,
or any hole, we had to replace it, we would discard it.
And today, the pieces we make, the more it has worked
by nature, the different fibers,
one from the other, it gets more interesting.
Nowadays, the more the mark of nature is,
the better the wood is.
The older the wood is, the more time it stays in the wood,
after it falls, it gets more beautiful,
it gets more original,
the design of it gets stronger, more marked.
I started working, I actually started studying about wood
at the age of 14.
From there, I always moved with wood,
I made a stable, firm,
and then I started working on it from the age of 17.
The best phase for me is now,
I don't like to do repetitive work,
I always do something different,
I start something without knowing what it will end up with.
Now I just do what I like.
My son's specialty is to work around,
developing always pieces worked with the manual tool.
The most beautiful pieces he makes are rustic pieces.
The wood has already been worked on by nature,
so it becomes very cool.
When my son was born, I worked with wood for a long time.
When he was born, you created it here,
there was not much fun for him,
so he stayed here,
took a piece of wood and sanded it.
For him, that was a joke.
We would work together on the weekend,
we were always together, always following everything.
And today it goes very well.
We are happy to see my son working with wood,
because it's good to work with children, it's always good.
My son was born on April 27th, 1981,
the day of my birthday.
For me it was a joy, a gift,
until today, eternally.
This is going to be a watch,
because it's very thin.
It's very thin here,
to give like a banquet or anything else.
So it's very thin.
So let's take this and make this a watch.
Thank you for watching.
