I did need to treat her so bad, she was the best girl I've ever had.
When your mama made me cry, sometimes I want to lay down and die.
I ain't got a devil, I ain't got a lonely dime.
This is our third annual dinner in the fields of Kachke Farm.
It's our second time with our partner tonight, the Columbia Land Conservancy,
and benefiting the Sylvia Center.
And there's nothing more magical than bringing people together in the fields
where food grows, where land is preserved, where nature is respected.
To come together and learn about each other, learn about our missions,
and just to share a wonderful sense of cleanliness.
We call the farm kind of a satellite operation in the Sylvia Center
because Sylvia Center runs culinary programs for kids in the city,
but we also run programs for kids up here on the farm.
And we get groups from city, from Albany, and from Plumby County,
and they come to the farm for usually a three-hour block of time.
During those three hours, they get a tour of the farm,
they can see our greenhouses and meet our chickens,
which is always really exciting for them, they love holding chickens,
but they also come into the garden where they get to taste all kinds of things
that they've never tried before,
and they also get to harvest the food that they'll be eating for lunch.
Farm to Table 2011, what a great night for a great performance
at Sylvia Center and all our guests tonight.
Coming together to the fields of Katsuki Farm,
great food, great beverages all from the local community,
all within a hundred mile menu.
Look at this broccoli, it just came out of the ground.
My two kids are out there picking fennel for me later.
It's a celebration, and it's a celebration for all,
especially for the selfish.
