Today is the swimming pool session that Bacamp started many years ago.
The fallacy in the medical world is that children with tracheostomy cannot bathe in
a tub or swim or be in a shower and get wet in the tracheal area.
In 1989 or 1990 we started swimming at Bacamp.
So children from all over the country come to Bacamp to see the possibility for those
patients with tracheostomy or ventilator dependent to be in the pool.
I see these children happy, you see their smiles and this is one of the things that
we do because we think it's very important for everybody to swim and all the volunteers
of Bacamp have to participate, be in the pool and learn and help with these kids.
Thank you.
Thank you.
