I swim to about 25-27m and then free forth on that point because as you descend your lungs compress and so you lose buoyancy and become heavy underwater.
So at that depth I can just stop swimming and still sink at quite a decent rate.
There's one of the most beautiful parts of the dive because it feels like you're getting pulled deeper and that sensation can be a little unmerving at first because suddenly you're sinking quite fast but once you get used to it and comfortable with it then it can be a very peaceful and beautiful part of the dive.
