I'm sorry I coordinate all the stage schools alongside Mark and for quite exciting week this week
We've been booked for the advice at Edvard and opening concert
Oh, hi Hannah. Oh
That's great news
brilliant, so
All right three numbers of that
It's a live televised show as well. So that's going to be quite a challenge for myself mark and the students
Um, and then also Western live. Um, completely different event. It's a live outdoor event. Um in Trafalgar Square
So both very exciting for the students
Hello, I'm Mark Jimmy. Hi Mark, it's Sara. Hello, how are you?
Oh, okay. Yeah, thanks for that. Yeah. Um, good news. Um, we're booked for Edvard. So, um, three numbers and we're opening the shows
Okay, oh brilliant. And um, Westminster counts have just been on the phone and that's all confirmed for western live. So, um,
Yeah, yeah, I'll start booking rehearsals in now sort of from early next week
I set up the stage school when I was 15 years of age. Um, I was literally
Uh, a drama student myself passing on knowledge and things that I was learning at youth theatre and in school onto a handful of children
And from those quite small handball beginnings, the business has grown and developed now
Well, we have we're one of the UK's largest and leading part-time theatre schools with branches all over Wales
But also we have part-time schools in Bath
North London, West London, and throughout the country
One of the reasons I set up the business was um, it just it's just something that naturally happened to be honest with you
Um, I really enjoy working with young people and children. I get great buzz from that
And part of the success I think from Mark Dreaming is actually teaching and working with children
And then obviously representing them with a professional agency and a great team of agents and people who work alongside me
To promote them within the entertainment business. We have children and youngsters auditioning for films tv commercials
Um, tv dramas and some really high-profile jobs
Uh, for some students the stage school is about coming along having fun joining in a class building up the confidence and making new friends
For others. It's their first step into the industry three two one
At the best and then for Sean as well. Sean's having a bit of an off day. Don't play me three two one
You can never tell what an average week at the stage school is going to be
If for example, we can be asked to do supply 50 children for a uk tour of Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat
Um, at the moment the major thing in the diary for the stage school is um, a live broadcast for the Aerith Iced Vod
We've been asked to do the opening ceremony as uh, the Iced Vod's in our city in Swansea
We've been asked to perform perform in the live concert. So that is
uh
The pressure's on myself the school the brand and the the children themselves
So
I'm singing in Welsh today, so I'm a bit nervous about that. I mean, I don't normally get nervous but
Um, singing in Welsh is kind of a big deal because this is where I live obviously and everyone speaks Welsh here. So, um
Just get it right and the pronunciation is important
So it's quite scary, but I'm just gonna just kind of enjoy it and do it the best I can
I mean, I've probably been practicing for a long time to try and just get it perfect
Oh
Oh
I'm so nervous about doing it. I'm so nervous. It's um, I don't think it's ever been done before especially in another language
So, um, I'm so excited and uh, honoured really that I'm, um, been asked to do it
Especially in New South Wales and looking forward to it. Yeah, this is exciting
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
Oh
We've got um
People not remembering where they are in numbers and generally people not knowing what they're doing. So
It's d-day as in they're either going to be
In the show or not in the show
Oh
Oh
Saturdays I haven't done a bit of that
From the top
Oh
All right
You go first
Handicke
So you better run! Five, six, seven, go! You better run!
I just looked for that.
Okay, dance upstage, dance onstage. Okay, and again, so you better run!
It's just like in rehearsal today everyone was in the wrong positions
and we were trying to go through things
and then one of the girls was stopping and saying I was in her position
and I don't know like things are going to mix up and we haven't gone much time now
and I did get a bit frustrated but like they told me to be dance captain
and then people are moving round
and I feel that it's my responsibility then when they're on the right place
so it was a bit of a mess up today
but hopefully you'll come together next week
but I just left it happen and like rose above it really
because I know she's like, so...
I was late today and I know Mark speed off of me
I can't have a flat tire but you know I came in
he shouted at me so I was late and obviously I didn't have my uniform on either
but you know we all make mistakes and I'm not the only one
we've got seven days to nail this now
so we've got rehearsals on Monday, five to eight
it's going to be tough, things get worse, things get good
do you know what I mean? You're going to find what you're going to do better than other things
well it wasn't really my fault, like I've missed one rehearsal
and like now I've fallen out with a knee
and I know it's silly but
it's just like everyone's stressed
and now like everyone's fallen out and it's just getting hard
we had a phone call I think two weeks ago confirming that the stage school
are going to be performing at an event called West End Live
which is a celebration of London's West End theatres
we're going to be using children from our London stage school
as well as Wales and Bath so we're bringing them all together
to perform in Trafalgar Square which is a massive, massive opportunity
they're going to be performing next to West End shows
and in front of 30,000 people in the open air
so getting the choreography and coming up with the concept
and production for that scale is quite immense
the pressure coming up with an original idea, original choreography
and making sure that they sound great, they look great
and again they're projecting me, the school and themselves
so the heat is on
go ladies
she is on her head
she's head on the bed
she's doing his best
and that promise she's made
she's looking forward
she says she's ready
she's walking the way down the kitchen
she's walking the way down the kitchen
you're walking the way down the kitchen
you better run
run fast for your lover, fast for your father
run for your children, run for your sisters, run for your brothers
and for the girl you love that you had
Can you hear the horses and see the lady come?
Can you hear the horses and see the lady come?
Can you hear the horses and see the lady come?
Can you hear the horses and see the lady come?
Can you hear the horses and see the lady come?
Can you hear the horses and see the lady come?
Can you hear the horses and see the lady come?
It's been a tough couple of weeks for us.
It's coming up to the rest of our lives now and it's looking forward to be good.
We've had a couple of edging moments, we've had a few arguments, a few TLs.
People have been cut.
It's been good and like I said before, it's going to be hard work.
But everyone's putting their work down at the time and hopefully it should all come together on a day
that we all enjoy because we're looking forward so it should be a good day.
We're going to get Norfolk on nothing. Why would you come here with that costume?
We're going to get Norfolk on nothing.
