I don't really know why I do it. I guess it's just a way to see the city in a different
life. I suppose it's a way of going on your own small adventure in a city where it's
so easy to stay in your own little bubble, going from home to work, to the pub, to the
supermarket. There's so much more to London than that. I think the Victoria line's interesting.
There's no branches, you just go from one end to the other. And when you're above ground
you don't have to think too much and you can just appreciate where you are. The Victoria
line stretches from Brickston in the south all the way out of the Wolkenstown in the
North Sea. Every year 200 million Germans are made of Victoria line. But I wonder how
many people actually think about all the amazing places and classes here in this journey and
how many people actually get out and see them. Good weather, pretty warm. Looks like it might
rain now. Starting to cloud over a little bit. We're in Hanover Square. Next stop, Oxford
Service. So we started off four or five hours ago in Brickston, all the way across central
London. Now we're at King's Cross. And now we've got rather a big section to go all the
way up to Hybrid Islington. So we'll have to see how that goes, how long that takes us.
And then after Hybrid Islington it's just five more stops to go.
We're at Blackhorse Road, the ultimate stop on the Victoria line, and across South Claw.
Walking down some backscreens, part of the bus station. It's coming up to Waltham So
Central. It's a bit stranger up here. I certainly don't think there'd be any other reason to
come here unless you were walking a tube walk. So today just for fun we decided to walk all
the way from Brickston to Waltham So Central and walk the Victoria line. We can now add
it to the list of the districts, the central, half the northern line, the Hammersmith and
City, and a few others, and the Circle line that we've now walked. Not for any particular
reason, just because it's an interesting way to see London. And it's a good way to use
weekends.
Thank you.
