we're looking for the Gibson mansion which actually it's gonna be like right
after this stop stoplight coming up is the Gibson man I was gonna say because
this place just looks like a haunted mansion yeah it's just it is straight it is weird
I don't know what I'm gonna say
I'm gonna swing it
what do we know about the Gibson man
it's been abandoned since 1960 and that it was built in the 1800s very early
1800s by one of the first pioneers of woodland
freedom's name something Gibson William Gibson William Gibson it was built in
the early 1800s by William Gibson and the Gibson's had lived into in it until
the 1960s when they abandoned it and it sat abandoned for around 10 years yeah
I mean they didn't really abandon it the last one of the Gibson family died
passed away yeah and so it sat there uninhabited for around 10 years when it
was taken over by the yellow historical society who also took over the opera
house and turned it into a museum which is full of artifacts from all around
yellow the yellow area all sorts of historical artifacts including the
original furniture of the people who owned it and the clothing of the people
who wore it and a lot of the paranormal activity is supposed to be around the
clothing right we will be the first people to spend the night in the building
since 1964 when the family passed the last of the family who lived in the house
passed away so this house could be the grandmother or the grandfather of
paranormal hotspots and no one has any idea boom except for us except for us
we're gonna get it we're gonna find out we tried to arrange interviews with
past employees of the Gibson mansion but we found that difficult as they had
stopped giving regular tours around a year ago due to lack of visitors because
of this it was also very hard to find out much information about the building's
history all we had to go off of was an information booklet they used to give to
tour guides we definitely had heard stories of paranormal occurrences within
the building but the only way we could find out for sure was to stay the night
there ourselves. Is this the hall you're talking about? Is there anything in here
that's original to the family? I honestly do not know. There's another room in
there which is a wardrobe closet and and has all the the items that are donated
that we use you know for rotation and you go in there and it feels you sense
things too I think at least I do but maybe because there's no windows really
and so it's kind of claustrophobic type of feel right but when you go in there
there's definitely something. Oh I wonder if this is I know Dave was talking about
there's a room pull-up. Yes exhibits. Yeah that's a cool man. Because according to what I've read only William gives someone the guide in the house.
And he was the one he built the house too. Yes. Yes he did. It's a good setup for a haunted area to feel like. Yeah even during our walk-through
during the daytime the building gave uneasy feelings as if you were walking
into somebody's house where you did not belong. The only thing left for us to do
was to gather our equipment and get ready for the investigation ahead.
So we are now on our second investigation which is of the Gibson mansion in
Woodland California. This place once more we grew up here and we're always
creeped out by it because well it looks like the haunted mansion from
Disneyland. However we never thought it was truly haunted until we start to do
more research lately and we have heard that people have experienced cold spots
and strange presences. A lot of the activity is supposed to be related to
the clothes and the family that used to live here. So we've decided to come to
the Gibson mansion to try our hand at trying to find more spirits. So we have
a list like before of a set number of activities we're gonna try to get
through through the night. Our next activity is a walk-through of the
building. We're gonna each walk through separately alone with a camera and just
get our impressions on the building. We're gonna enter different rooms and
see if we feel anything more so in one room from the next and then maybe focus
on that room more. This isn't just you alone you know in the room this is
you alone in the building. Right. You are vulnerable. Cool. We aren't turning the
lights off in this room. No we are. But if we turn it off. Just kidding no we can
just leave these lights on. Okay because my power is just gonna. Yeah now we can leave these lights on.
Okay well Rob. Let's do it. Go drink some coffee. Good luck Rob. Have fun Robby.
Oh Rob. Come on man.
Whoa. Alright. Later Robby. Bye-bye.
God that's terrifying to that. Like shakes. I'm placing this on this counter. Are you
friends with the Gibson's? We know that someone is here. These are the creepy
stairs that make footsteps sound like they're behind you. Did you just sing? Did
you just hum? The humming that Robby just heard was captured on our audio
recorder. Here's that same clip but with the audio from our microphone overlaid.
Did you just sing? Did you just hum? Are you peaceful? Okay well I shall be back hopefully.
Starting EVP session now. I've really just come to talk to you. And of course I forgot to go
to the bathroom before I came in here. So if something scary happens I am
probably literally gonna pee myself. Did Robby hear you singing up here? I'd like
to hear you sing. During my walk through the building I didn't experience or see
anything paranormal so we decided to move on to our next activity. The next
activity is called Waking the Dead. They actually conveniently have a chuck
wagon dinner bell right outside the front door and we're gonna ring that
dinner bell or breakfast bell what have you to try and wake the spirits to come
down for breakfast and see if we get anything weird. Part two is that each of
us is gonna go into a bedroom with a video camera and as many EVPs as we can
and again ring the bell and see if we can't get any activity from within the
bedrooms with us in there. We decided against ringing the actual dinner bell
and instead brought my eye home so we could play sound effects in the upstairs
room. You sure? You want the kid's room? Do you want the kid's room? Oh man
why did I pick this room? All right here we go. Starting Waking the Dead.
Mom wake up! It's time to go to work. We are from Texas though. Well we are from the
1800s though. Rooster, do rooster.
Oh my god! Come on time to wake up. I feel like we need to have a new planned attack for filming this.
Why is that? Do you? No. We waited for James Hernandez to show up before
continuing as we felt we needed a new direction. So we're gonna go over right
now. We're gonna go into the mansion and just we'll walk through and see if you
pick up on anything inside the building. All right. Whenever you're ready. Who's Thomas?
I feel like it's young. Someone responded. Someone responded. To the music? Yeah it's a woman. A woman played
this. Hearing Ellen. It could be Ellen or Helen or something like that. Do you want to hear the
pause? Do you want me to tell you if you know you want me to tell you? Let's talk about it.
She's here because she chooses to be here. Not because she's lost. Was there a time, well I will
ask this and then you can answer it later, was there a time when this house was being, was
considered for demolition or renovation for other use? Because she's here to prevent,
she was here to prevent them and she just stayed. There's a Robert. Robert? Something in here too.
During this time Rob took two successive photographs as he watched my hair rise up and then drop
back down as if being picked up by an unseen force. Here's this photo. This photo was taken.
These photos were taken seconds. Rob said he saw my hair stand up. There was no wind. There was no
wind. It's like my hair by itself just standing up right there. It's like something picking it up.
He said it stood up. Absolutely. It stood up and I took a picture and then seconds later when I
could I took another picture. Absolutely. You think that's someone in the house doing that or
what do you think that is? Because that's pretty shocking because I had no idea and I mean obviously
my hair is standing up. Well I think you're being possessed by the soul of Alfalfa. Do you think
that there would be any way to draw Helen or Ellen out? So I just kind of asked internally is it your
question and Ellen just laughed at you. She says don't bother me with this silly mouth sense. I mean just relying on the message.
Yeah of course. She just has no that's not her thing. She's a very practical woman. James's
intuition seemed to be correct as much of the evidence we caught was when we were not present
in the building and had left static cameras throughout the rooms. Here's our first video clip. In this
clip there was absolutely nobody in or around the house. We captured what sounds like somebody
running in the upstairs room. Listen carefully. In this next clip it sounds as if a man is coughing
or clearing his throat. In this video clip you hear what sounds like a footstep and then possible
movement afterwards. Our last piece of video evidence from the living room sounds as if
something is being dragged across the floor. In this video clip which was recorded in the
master bedroom when nobody was present in the house sounds like a man gasping for breath. The
breathing continues for almost over three minutes before it slows down and stops as if it's someone's
last dying breath. You back? Anything else you want to do? What time is it? It's 2.28. A little bit.
I mean we've been here since four. Yeah. And been investigating since six. No I know I'm ready to
call quits but after spending a total of 10 hours within the Gibson mansion we acquired
evidence of some sort of strange phenomenon. However we cannot say for sure whether it's
indicative of a haunting or not. Perhaps one day we will return to resolve the lingering
