So, where do you think?
You got your passion going, passion for photography. Where did you start it?
Okay, so my passion for photography came from within my family, within my roots as my dad's cinema archive and the influence of my brothers.
So, first starting was the influence of my dad's archive. Where I lived back home was a remote village.
There wasn't very much going on, there wasn't very much to do, there was no kids really around.
So, when I used to come home from school, I'd spend a lot of time just chilling with my family and just catching dutch.
Well, telling them how my day had been, this, that and the other. This is where I first started working with cinematic videocameras, photographic cameras, old film, splicing stuff together.
This is where I found an interest and I found that I was passionate about this. I enjoyed spending time editing and I enjoyed spending time just generally working.
So, after I'd done a year of A levels, I was told that I'd got B in photography and some of the other ones I wasn't really worth continuing.
So, if I wanted to stay in that college, I'd have to choose some other subject to carry on with next year.
This is where I decided, now this isn't what I want to do, I just want to do photography. So, I thought to myself, how long I'd think.
I wanted a fresh start, I wanted to pursue my photography, but somewhere different, somewhere that I'd never lived, somewhere that I'd never really spent much time.
And this is where I came to Plymouth.
My dad was becoming very big in this, working with the BBC. He started his cinema archive, started to get bigger.
So, this is where I thought was a real opportunity for my photography to be included in this.
He was starting to get poorly, he was starting to slow down. It just wasn't up to scratching anymore.
So, this is where the things that he had taught me, I would now be able to bring back and support him and help him out, setting shows up, carrying equipment, following this.
And then, whilst I was doing that, I was able to photograph this as well, so add photos to his website and just keep a little note and a journey for me personally and for him.
This I carried on working with. Obviously, I did a little bit of work with him in A-levels, but after I'd moved to Plymouth, I realised that I didn't really, I missed my family a lot.
And so, I thought it would be a good opportunity to include my family within my photography.
So, now he's obviously very, very ill and I want to obviously spend as much time with him as I can. So, now I'm able to spend time with him, learn from him and him learn from me.
