My name is Jay Ripple.
I'm from Dopey Rotten.
I'm a doctor and I'm from the Sex Pistols but we're from English heritage so that's why
we decided to do it as a shout out actually.
We've been friends for ages and the whole dope-dud concept that shit goes back for maybe
ten years.
We've been doing music for a long time, you know.
We really grown together musically and it brought us where we are right now.
We're really a close family from our video team to our producers, to our crew, you know.
It's a group of friends from the same city, so yeah.
We rose together.
And he's part of the four man team, you know, of the video guys, and yeah, he's heading
this way and he's got some French blood in him, you know.
So obviously, like, that French movie touches in there as well, you know, in our video making
and all that.
We just have Jay's bro, Peter Sangolo.
He's like our, you know, home producer, the one in our crew.
And we have, like, a couple of guys from our city that have worked on our branded album.
Not so much artists from outside of Holland that have dumb beats for us yet, but, you know,
we're open for anything, so.
So we're gonna wait for some new predictions to come.
Oh yeah, for sure you better be prepared.
Thanks and we'll see you next time.
With a skeleton key
I might go to the zoo and set an elephant free
What's like a vampire?
You're like a seraphapri
Stake the guard, straight retarded
Hit me forward, that's what I love most
We have loads of influences, but our main thing is hip-hop
We're hip-hop first, and for the rest it's a melting pod
Really, you can put everything in there
Yeah, yeah, now I can add to that
I mean, that's what we love about our sound
We do like the hardcore hip-hop style beats
But with dubstep wobble in it
And that's what connects it to that modern electronic vibe
Which people love bouncing to, you know, we love doing it live
We throw hip-hop in the mix live
We even have some MPC-like, you know, like RZA production kind of stuff
On our albums, you won't hear that much in the show
Even though we throw that in there as well
But so, yeah, it's just the mix for us, trying to build from what's already been done
Make something new
Yeah, I always post, like, you know, classics
Yeah, man, if I think of the last few things I've posted
Like the alcoholics, 9, you know, the red rum remix
I love that joint, there's so many, you know, like...
We've got time
I'm sure you do, man, now that's a whole list
But that's mostly because, I mean, there are still...
I mean, hip-hop never dies, you know, it's not like, oh, we're bringing it back
Or, oh, we like the old-school sound, so we're trying to do that
We're building from the old-school sound to something new
But when it comes to listening to the music myself
I just don't have a lot of modern-day rappers I really like listening to
But you have cats out there that I still rule
I mean, the underground never dies, you know
There's millions of hardcore rappers out there, you know, so...
Oh, shit, no DODs gonna help you get drunk
So put your motherfuckin' hands up
