She is Cristina, now she presents to you this painting that she made on occasion of this demonstration.
It's the sister Antonella.
Hello everyone, I'm Cristina and I'm the granddaughter of Agostino Catalano.
He was my uncle, but in reality I should say yes, because he is still alive in my heart and he should be in the heart of all of you,
as well as the judges Paolo and Giovanni and all the boys in the court.
We should bring to their hearts the feeling of justice and honesty, of duty,
and of love that they had for this land, so hammered.
Obviously, I speak of my uncle, you all know the institutional side, he was a policeman,
but he was also an artist, he loved to paint and he was very good at the work of the iron.
I somehow have the same passion for painting, I do the painting,
and so for the first time I came here to give a testimony, a message, a message of peace.
This painting you see is obviously my creation and it is a symbol of this peace that we are looking for.
It is called Image, in honor of the song of the singer John Lennon, his favorite song.
Because you didn't know John Lennon, he was a political activist, not even a paladin of pacifism.
He was an uncomfortable character even to the American authorities, who was never behind the Trinkard.
He was considered a subversive for his ideas.
So much so that he was murdered, because of Revoltella, on December 8th, 1980.
Image is still today one of the most beautiful and famous songs in the history of rock,
which has marked the life and the thought of millions and millions of young people.
Today I would like to give you a step of this song that inspired me in the realization of my work.
Image does not exist paradise, no hell below us, above the sky.
Image does not exist nations, nothing for which to kill or die.
Image, I add, no longer exists the mafia, nothing more tragic, no fight for it, and no one more commemoration, no one more judge to commemorate, no one more agent to commemorate.
Image, Lenon said, a brotherhood between men, and the world will live in harmony.
Today, more than ever, we should strongly believe in these words and do our part to improve our land,
because the mafia attitude often incites many of us, and I say we, because sometimes we don't realize it.
That is the first thing to fight, to eradicate, the mafia attitude is the last vandal acts that have happened in Palermo, in schools.
Those are a demonstration, which is also three more young people.
There is still the mafia attitude that is almost unconscious.
Someone to read the thing that says, maybe it was a bravada, I am not a bravada.
This is a mafia attitude that makes great people feel, strong people.
And this is what we have to change, because change comes from the single, from each one of us.
And you can change and you have to start from the single and extend to the community.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Hello.
This morning we were in the garden of the memory of Capaci.
There were planted five trees, Peppau, Emanuella, Agostino, Etti, Vincenzo and Claudio.
One for each of them.
The trees represent the strength and symbolize eternal life, because they revive in their fruits.
So, eternal are our angels, they live in us.
My aunt Agostino always said to her beloved mom Emilia,
Mom, don't worry, I am strong.
Now we have to be strong, strong in the will, in the actions, in the words.
It is our task to continue to sow ideals of justice, truth and legality,
so that the seed of morality never dies, so that our angels will never be forgotten.
Maybe we will never get to the truth, to the true justice we have been looking for for 25 years.
But one thing is for sure, Paolo, Agostino, Emanuella, Claudio and Vincenzo will always be alive in us.
Well, I don't want to talk about my brother, because I don't want to make a rhetoric about his life,
because I think he is well known now.
I could only talk about my brother well.
I am Salvadori, the youngest.
The first student he got from the police, we have been away for 6 years, no more.
The first student he got from the police gave me the suit to play with the ball.
He didn't like the ball, figure it out.
We are a little restless, this is a review that takes place every year,
and every year it is participated and heard for everyone.
But this year I wanted to participate and get on this stage because it is the 25th.
The 25th is an important date, important for many.
There are those who always vote for the Senate, for the first time.
There are those who get married.
There are those who say yes or renew their love in front of God.
And this 25th is important for this reason.
I, here in front of everyone, renew and say in front of God and in front of everyone,
my love for my brother.
This I want to say.
My love for my brother.
And I add simply one thing, we don't want any more heroes.
Every one, as my mother always said in the demonstrations that my mother gave her all.
My mother Emilia called her to the police.
She always said, everyone in his has to do their own duty.
We parents, I am a parent, we have to educate, but not with words.
Words are useless.
They simply need to show themselves.
Every one in his part, a teacher, a student, must study.
The magistrate, the police officer must do their own duty.
We don't want any more heroes.
If everyone did something like that, it would be different.
The society would be much better.
I don't add anything else, because I recognize that what Vincenzo Agostino said,
that I have been following for many years, made me very excited.
And I could not add anything else.
Thank you again for the testimonies of Vincenzo and Augusta.
And thank you all.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Yes, I close with the last sentence.
It depends only on us.
If we want it, this land will be beautiful.
Thank you.
Thank you to the family of Agostino Caterano.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
Thank you.
