Connecting Dreams Foundation has been working in the area of world development and sustainable
development.
There are a lot of villages, a lot of schools where we don't have internet access at all.
So what kind of program can we run so that in short time we can go and make some relevant
change.
So during one of the meetings we got an idea so let's go and visit a school which is at
a remote place and people don't get opportunities there.
Let's go and run some entrepreneurship course, give them some access which is which they
can use for longer run.
So we visited the school last month on a reiki trip and we found a lot of things that can
be done and we got a lot of support from this college team and the people who were supporting
us.
And we came back and discussed with a lot of people and we got together this team of
youth brigade from basically students from Delhi University from various colleges.
And we thought let's go for a two day trip and come up with something which can actually
make a difference in Delhi.

So the task at hand on the first day was to set up the digital library, to renovate
their library, then we had a lot of events lined up, we had an art and craft competition,
then there was a drama, there was a play happening, then there was dance, there was music, Vaishnavi
was taking a session on health and hygiene and then we had people from Intel conducting
the ideation camp.

So in the first day we managed to complete half of our digital library work.
The art and craft competition, the first day competition we were done with that.
Sheetal got the group dance prepared.
Ujwala got the play prepared.
Then the ideation camp, half of the ideation camp took place and we were ready.
We came out, we could specify all the problems.
We identified the problems of the village area and these people.
We could identify the problems, the solutions for these problems to happen on the next day.
So in today's school, which one of you had fun?

We are setting up a digital library as you can see.
We are setting up a computer system with a 32 inches TV.
We have our contents for class 6 to 10.
There are videos and documentaries.
There is a educational department and non-educational things.
We are also setting up a library.
We have also brought our books.
We have provided free books from our school.
We have renovated this room and made the entire system for the children to study.
We have also seen the entire content.
I am setting up the entire system.
We have seen all the painting and painting.
We are planning to finish all the work and set up the carpet.
We will hand over this digital library to the school.
I was leading the ideation workshop and the entrepreneurship workshops for these young people with the help of other people from other universities.

This is the first time we have felt that if we are interested in doing something, we can help them.
The other big idea that came up was how do we tap the unemployed youth here who is idling around and not doing anything.
