Hello everybody, this is Tropical Music, episode number two, and this is a very special episode.
We just got home from work, home to lunch, lunchtime, and I was greeted by the surprise that my MacBook Pro has arrived, the FedEx truck.
Came in and brought it in, and we're gonna open it up and see what's inside.
Wait a minute, I have to change into a more appropriate attire.
Here we go, now I am the prototypical Apple fanboy. What do you think?
Awesome, let's open this up. I'm gonna use my car key, which is the words.
Let's see, let's see, let's put it back here.
First of all, we can grab this stuff.
And here we go, this is the box.
MacBook Pro, awesome. Great packaging as always, Apple.
And it came straight from China, it's a tractor on FedEx.
Shanghai, China, left, departed. I actually came two days earlier than they said.
Because how do I open this up, let me get my key back. Should have brought a knife.
One of the damage.
And that sort of works.
And now, I'm broken the seal. It's now mine.
Let's see, a little bit like this.
A more protective styrofoam.
And here we go. First we have a power cord.
And this is part of the power cord.
Magsafe adapter, awesome, that's great.
Apple remote.
And this is the converter from DBI to DBA, I suppose, yes.
I really need one from DBI to HDMI, so I can connect it to my HDTV.
And this is it.
How pretty. Let's leave the actual computer to be.
This is actually my CDs.
Here we go, Final Cut Express, because I ordered it together with the Mac and the manual.
And this is probably OS X. It's just everything else that don't waste time, you know.
It's just probably an iLife, and the OS.
And here we go, finally.
Please read the software license agreement.
Whoever reads the software license agreement.
And here we have it.
The most awesomest piece of technology ever created after the iPhone.
And I can't get it out of it. I don't want to damage it.
Here we go.
And it is a MacBook Pro.
We'll be back later as we power it up and see how it works.
I gotta run. I gotta get back to work now. Bye bye.
And here I am, talking to you from the iSight camera of the new MacBook Pro
that we're going to be using to produce the show.
No more PC. I mean, the Mac Mini was nice, but it was kind of slow and not portable.
Now we have the MacBook Pro.
And we're going to start doing some stuff in the next couple of weeks.
I'm sorry I haven't been posting regularly,
but it's been a heck of a couple of weeks right after Mac World I started school.
Work has been hell and I've been doing a couple of gigs at night.
So, enough excuses, but that's the story of my life.
We're going to start doing some real production podcasts in the...
Excuse me, I have a stop sign here.
In the next couple of days, we're going to do some screenshots.
And you tell me, you tell me what you want to hear on the podcast,
what you want to see, what you want to learn, what you want me to show you.
So if you have any questions about music production,
loud music about myself, about Miami, anything at all,
or any suggestions, you tell me where I've screwed up.
If you tell me if I want to... whatever is in your mind, please drop me a line,
my email address for the podcast is podcastatrobarticomusic.com.
It's right here, podcastatrobarticomusic.com.
That's it for today, my friends.
Until next time, thanks for watching and have a wonderful day or evening or night
wherever you are in the world.
Bye-bye.
