The individuals inside fled on foot.
The officers of Port Cable Chase, those individuals were ultimately apprehended.
Two male parties and one female party.
At some point, one of the individuals used a handgun and
an officer discharged his weapon, which was resulted in one individual being
transported to the hospital.
Do you know which person?
I don't, I don't.
But we have investigators on scene here.
We have an area cordoned off here from 10th to 12th in federal and
in west that covers the Grove and Monroe Valley.
All four purposes of the investigation.
So there never was a vehicle pursuit?
There was never a vehicle pursuit.
As I mentioned, as the officers went to contact these parties,
they then jumped out of the vehicle, fled on foot.
The world's really captured.
I know you probably can't say too much about details, but
can you say one shot or anything like that?
Well, that's part of the investigation.
Whenever there is an officer that discharged his weapon.
That's right.
That's all part of the investigation.
Whenever there's an officer that discharged his weapon,
he slows everything down.
We are very much out of work with the investigation.
Just take our time to make sure that this is thorough.
So there's a lot more work that needs to be done here.
I imagine this crime should be held for quite some time.
What's the medical status of the person who's transported to the hospital?
So, I don't know, but that status is that individual gets
sustained an injury and they're being treated.
You can say I'm supposed to do some health care.
Life-threatening injury.
No, I'm not at this point here.
No reason to believe that there's any negligence in the area.
Well, we do believe that we have all suspects in custody at this point.
But again, as the investigation continues, that could possibly change.
It just depends on what the investigators find out.
You said there were three suspects in the area?
Correct.
All three of them?
There were three suspects inside the vehicle.
There were two males and one female.
And you can't say which one of them was?
I don't know which one was trespassed.
Officers are okay.
Officer was in.
Cool?
Ma'am, do you have any other questions?
Oh, I'm just curious, so typically you guys transport then to Denver Health?
Is that where this person has been transported to?
Well, we don't really give that information out because of hip-unforgiver reasons.
We're restricted.
I've actually heard Denver police give that information before to the news.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Very good.
Life-threatening injuries, critical injuries.
You know, it's hard to say.
We don't know because we're not, you know, we don't have to get there and be checked out
by the doctors.
What time did that shooting occur at?
Just before five o'clock.
Just before five o'clock?
That seems, okay, so an hour ago and you still don't know the status of that person's injuries?
Yeah.
So that's all part of our very thorough investigation.
But if we have an officer that starts your weapon, we want to make sure all the T's across
and all the I's are dotted.
All the T's and all the I's are dotted.
Did you dot the I in Jeff Timana?
What was that?
Jeff Timana?
He just got a promotion as sergeant just yesterday.
But he shot four people in a six-month period.
All right, you guys stop it.
Okay, you guys, we'll see you at the next one.
Yes?
All right, we'll see you at the next one.
