We always see the subject through practical matters and the room and function and everything.
So for us, this project was more like experimenting on the edge of where the furniture turns into
art.
No other environment in Estonia was changed so radically in such a short time.
This is the plan from the 1970s of how Lasnama was supposed to look very colourful and very
impressive.
Many of you know right now that it was not finished and that's what is peculiar about
Lasnama if we compare it to other those kind of hills in Tallinn and we are driving actually
through this piece of land that was supposed to be also all full of residential housing
but is now kind of a wasteland we can say.
So what will become of Lasnama with all this land we will see in the future.
In between this you could say stricter monoton block area there is this nice sculpture that
they want to kind of take it down so basically only locals know it and they even may not
notice the arches when they are under it.
So this nice public area just to make it more aware for the wider audience we made this
video mapping installation which will be connected with the TV tower lights at night time.
So these arches are an unbuilt structure or a structure of unbuilt indoor market.
I never knew that this was supposed to be a canal or this is a sculpture.
We also knew that this is going to be like a huge mall.
So thank you.
So this is not the only work of art that gets no attention in this urban area or in this
district and exactly local people don't even know what the plans are.
What if I'm talking about yes I agree lack of information.
So be prepared to shop in few seconds.
Thank you.
So, yes, it was a really well-pointed
out that in last night people just don't know about what is happening in their
neighborhood and this is why actually maybe perceive last night or last night
people as very passive that they don't actually care about the environment or
they don't even want to know about the environment but it's kind of a matter of
habit because here it was just one state that managed all these places and then
when collapse of Soviet Union happened everyone become became a private
owners of their flat overnight but actually this kind of responsibility
didn't didn't reach out to the you know even the staircase so it ends where
your door ends and all these public spaces is perceived as no man
you
you
