When we think about mobility, we don't have to think about
Infrastructure, but the first thing we need to think about is the cultural one.
If we think about a traffic full of traffic,
we think about Rome, who doesn't know how to think about the environmental impact
that they have chosen, how they don't know how to think about the social impact,
the relationships that are created and that are not created on the road.
In Rome, for example, we have a number of cars that happen,
the number is around 820 cars per 1,000 inhabitants.
These are the conditions of non-civility.
The cities are occupied almost militarily by cars that occupy a rare space,
because in fact the territory is a rare space.
It is as if one occupies a beach by cleaning up all the cars.
This city is no longer livable because of the traffic of mobility.
This kind of mobility is unbearable.
And we can start again from the bicycle.
I say also from the bicycle, because it is clear that a metropolis
the systems in some way of mobility must be integrated.
But the fact that now the bike-sharing is an established reality in all Europe
and that it does not arrive in a city like Rome
is a scandal that we have this bad policy
that is not able to interpret the need to cross a city.
I think at least as far as I am concerned,
instead of standing, you live more the landscape around you
and the landscape in Rome, in short, there is little.
In short, the whole administration is showing a face of interest
on the sustainable mobility.
But obviously this is only a word, because then in fact
we have not yet seen anything, especially,
however, four years that are there and nothing is happening.
We are only talking about words.
They make me angry those who say that in Rome
you cannot use the bicycle because there are too many outings.
In fact, we have six months in Berlin
and six months in the year of the ice.
The bicycle can not be taken, but there are all cyclists.
And today we are also here to ask
that the use of the bicycle as a means of daily transport
in short, every day. We want to change.
There are too many cars, cars steal space
and traffic is a lot of waste.
The cyclists want to re-indicate their centrality.
In fact, it is good to remember that institutions
must give concrete answers to those who are now
in demand of all the citizens.
So we hope that at the beginning of the year
there will be a lot of similar things.
