Yes indeed, Herman Astrow playing live, live in the studio for you.
Where else are you going to hear that kind of good thing?
Hey, they're going to come in here and we're going to talk about the band for a few minutes.
So let's play a song off their CD while they're coming in and taking off their guitars and
getting settled and letting all that adrenaline drain out of their systems.
Herman Astrow, say hi guys.
Hello!
Alright, everybody's here. I think all these mics are working.
We're going to talk a little bit.
Good band.
Thank you.
Zach, why don't you introduce the band. Just say who everybody is and what they play.
Yeah, I'm Zachary Pleuer. I was singing and playing the acoustic guitar.
I've got my step-brother here, Cody Calderoni, who's on the drum kit.
Eric Lemieux is on the electric guitar and Adam Dostmagen is on a bass guitar.
Obviously, you've been playing together for a while. What's the story of the band? How did you guys get together?
How long has it been?
Well, three of us, Cody, Eric and myself, we grew up in the same neighborhood.
Obviously, Cody's my step-brother, so we've been playing for a long time.
The three of us have been playing for 15 years.
We kind of branched out and did other things, but came together about eight months ago, I think.
How would you typify your sound? I mean, I thought you guys had a sound. What would you call it?
There's definitely some Latin and funk influences in jazz.
Myself and Doser, more came from some of the bands that we played in were more jazz and funk.
And then Eric kind of came more of a rock background.
So it's kind of, I guess, yeah, something in the middle there.
Let's talk about the CD. It's five songs, right? Where can people pick up your CD other than at the gig?
You can buy the album on Dig Station for $5. It's Dig Station, and then I think you can just search our name, Herman Astrow.
But if not become our friend on Myspace and we can mail it to you or bike it to you or whatever you need.
Herman Astrow, Herman Astrow, Herman Astrow. Over and over again until it's echoing in the canyon.
Right now in the studio we have Herman Astrow. They're going to play a few tunes for us and then they're going to come in and talk about the band.
You ready to go, guys?
Baby, I tried
You were built in lots of time, okay
Searching through the soul in this maze
But I tried
Baby, I tried
But I just made a flesh and bone
Right now they're looking at me, oh, here he goes
Here we score our spirit to win
And talk the band is falling
And here he goes out in shy
I go for the fountain way
I was trying speaking a lot of times
And all I come up with is hum diddy-dum-dum
But I tried
Baby, I tried
Baby, I tried
But I just made a flesh and bone
Right now they're looking at me, oh, here he goes
Here we score our spirit to win
And talk the band is falling
And here he goes out in shy
I go for the fountain way
I'm gonna find my own way
And I'm gonna find my own way
And I'm gonna find my own way
I'm gonna find my own way
Yeah, Herman Astru, thanks a lot guys.
Well, it's been nice having you guys down.
Thanks for taking the time to come down and set up and play for us and any final words
or comments, anything you want to get out there to the people.
Eric?
Well, I would just recommend coming to this show just for Cody because he's our pure
sex appeal.
That's what I have to say.
It'll be a good show.
But no, thank you guys for having us.
Thank you very much.
You're welcome.
Thank you for listening.
You're welcome.
