Post Light Weekly is at Cranford Church's annual bonfire in the graveyard.
It's comfortably cool and there are tons of hot dogs and fixings with coffee, hot
chocolate and hot sire. Fires toasty and cheery. The community is gathered around
toasting their hot dogs and marshmallows. The kids are running around
having their screaming spooky good time and Cranford UNC invites you to their
first Thursday prayer and healing services. Enjoy an evening in the
twilight zone at Woodlawn Plantation with a cocktail reception and hour-long
theatrical parody performance. That's Tuesday, November 1st. Do you remember
the classic 1950s suspense TV program? Have wine and refreshments and be
transported to another time and dimension. Proceeds benefit Woodlawn Pope
Leahy Preservation. The South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce membership mixer is
Thursday, November 3rd, 6 to 9 p.m. It's at the recently opened Casa Tequila bar
and grill located at 90-20 Lorton Station Boulevard where Pana Evino used
to be. Register at the South Fairfax Chamber website. The roughshod record
sidekicks, Mike Johnson and James Ellsberger, will be performing Friday
evening November 4th at L Ranchero Bar and Grill 4617 Wilson Boulevard,
Arlington. They are local old-time country music award winners performing
originals. Tell them Lorton Valley stars in you. If country isn't your cup of tea,
how about classical music? The Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra is presenting an
autumn concert Saturday evening November 5th at 7 30 p.m. That's in the St. Paul
United Methodist Church 1400 G Street Woodbridge. The program includes music by
Verity, Mozart with Debra Maxson, Soprano and Beethoven. Find more details at

Center Advisory Council. Contact the Center 703-550-7195. Every 10 years Virginia
State Parks lay out a plan for what they'd like to do for the future. So you
have a once-in-a-decade opportunity to help decide Mason Next State Parks
priorities by attending the public meeting November 10th at 6 p.m. at the
park and by filling out a short online survey. Note that none of the priorities
listed in the park's last ten-year plan ended up being funded by the
legislature so a strong show of public support is needed to help it do better
this time. The Fairfax County History Conference November 12th at the
Stacey C. Sherwood Community Center will focus on George Mason the 4th of
Gunston Hall. Like breakfast and lunch are included the event will occur Saturday
November 12th with 8 30 check-in and the program is from 9 15 to 3 30 p.m.

Trailhead at the Norman Cole plant. So if you can learn about Lorton history or
