The city of Minsk, the capital of Belarus, hosts a pioneering business incubator that
has the potential to become a model for other regions in the country.
In partnership with financial institutions and regional authorities, the local government
gathers under one roof over 150 young entrepreneurs, giving them support and advice on how to set
up and run new businesses.
Our incubator has more than 150 enterprises that have created young people.
My role is not only to help these young people, to exchange experience with them,
to listen to them, but also to be a connecting bridge between entrepreneurs and the government, the state.
By connecting with other companies in the incubator, young entrepreneurs can boost their growth and financial returns.
The Balki project is a space for informal education.
I work at Outsourcing with more than 20 companies located here, in the business incubator, as well as in the city of Minsk.
Daria, a cafe owner, directly benefits from this collaboration.
The cafe has always been a place of informal communication, but I have never thought that it can be used as a creative space.
For me, this idea led to the opening of new boundaries in business development.
In Minsk, the incubator has grown into a ecosystem built on a collaborative advantage.
Its influence is far-reaching and informs policymaking with its practice-based evidence on entrepreneurship.
Of course, the development of a small business affects the policy taken by the head of the country.
The interests of a small business are taken into account, programs are developed,
parts of which are the incubator of a small business for support,
for annual resettlement, supply of areas and investment.
Despite the fact that young entrepreneurship is at a fairly high risk for banks,
however, we understand that by not helping to grow a new enterprise, a new business among young people,
we will not get a good client in the future.
Investing in young people and supporting a network where professional skills are already available is a recipe for success.
This positive change is already underway in Minsk.
During the work of our enterprises, the creative economy has entered the complex of modernization of Belarus.
Business incubators should be in every area, in a small right-center, in a big city,
in order to show young people the opportunity to integrate among themselves,
to be a participant of entrepreneurship and to establish a state on the development of a small business,
in order to have a bright middle class.
