All right, so we're at whatever just burped well
This place right here is popping you should come through get piercings and tattoos
Whatever and ask their place
It's a shit
It is and it's really cold whatever
But whatever fuck all that
Okay, so I have a few questions for you guys
How did you guys get started like what are your influences, um, I guess like that's how the brand started
You make back patches small patches, so it started like back in the day
We used to go to like a lot of metal shows hardcore shows and I don't know if you remember like iron-on patches
But like you put it on it's like you just a rep your favorite bands and stuff and people would have it like all over their leather jackets
It's blazers. Yeah, so like about a year ago
We just decided like to just do our own version of it just to make it more stylish cuz like I don't know patches are not
Really nice to look at like they're mad like
Ugly shit, but people just loved it anyway because it was like mad and wrong and rugged
But it was just like to rep your favorite bad
So we decided to just put like spike studs like just make it cute like make it more fashionable and
And just pin them on instead and then like for our backs the stuff we wanted to put on it was so heavy
So we decided to just put straps on it so you can hold the weight
Depending on the style like each of them way different. So and bam the bag is something we created back patches
So does the current street got genre have any influence on your brand?
Um, no anything has influenced we've been doing this like this has been a part of us like for years now
Yeah, we always been into like Bronx underground shows
Going to like doc street like if you know us, you know what we're talking about like
We still got a lot of local bands stuff like
Like because our friends used to like being bands like Undyne devotion and so violent like I'm name-dropping crazy like
Like if they see you gonna be like, oh, that's just mad old
But yeah, like just a lot of like hardcore metal shows
But like the whole fact getting into the fashion world to be kind of like fell into it
We didn't really plan it. It was like we was doing it for fun and people started fucking with it
So we decided to just sell it
I'm not gonna say no to money, you know, so we was just like
I think I just did it and I think we're pretty good at it. What do you think? I'd say we're pretty awesome at it
So how do you think the quote-unquote goth look affects the hip-hop market?
As far as like you see all black on the ASAP crew and you see them what the crucifix is I think it makes
Everyone just more diverse
Basically because now everyone just it's not everyone's not it's not like clicks really anymore
Like you'll be like that's the goth kids the punk kids the hood or like hip-hop whatever they're called
But I mean like now everyone you don't know who listens to what everyone is just diverse everyone is to everything now
which is great like
Rock is not as underground as it used to be
And
It's cool. You could always tell the new from the old though. You could always tell like someone
That's just dressing like that because they like to look or someone that really been into the scene and been listening to like
fucking corn or
blood
and like, you know
You can tell by the way they carry themselves. Yeah, you can always tell
So speaking of that you think there's like a lot of people that's new to the scene or like it's a lot of people that's been up on it
Yeah, but yeah, definitely a lot more new people that's into this
Because I mean hip-hop is always going to be majority of people like, you know, yeah, it's more mainstream
Yeah, so you know hip-hop ends came through to the rock scene and
The rock scene kind of came
The rock scene to the hip-hop scene
Like it's like we have a little way to think for that. So the sound was a pretty much blending right?
Yeah, yeah, it's a little way to decide who you want to skateboard
That's what happened
Decided who wanted to hold the guitar
No one decided he wanted to hold the guitar and play one string
No one did a whole lot of shit, man
So he made hip-hop and he was like
I'm about to get on my rock shit
Oh, we could blame Guitar Hero for that one
They could go play guitar
So what's your plans for 2013? What are you trying to do with the line?
We're just gonna keep creating, keep adding new
Diverse things like we just want to make sure we have styles for every scene
You know what I'm saying? Like some stuff is a little too luxurious for guys like not all guys
When we're like met gold chains and shit and sequins
So we're gonna do more casual, we're gonna do crazy like it's really whatever comes to our mind
We're not really like thinking about what we're gonna create
We're just kind of wing it
Is there any scenes in particular you're trying to get into?
No
We're good as we go along
Yeah, we're good as we go along
I think we gotta fit in everywhere
What are you missing?
I'm not missing anything
I'm not missing anything
I think anything can really find something in our collection
To have more diversity
But yeah, it's just the beginning
We have a few, we're gonna grow
Have our brain grow
Other things maybe clothing, t-shirts, sweaters, like stuff like that
But backpatch is our thing
Like we're always creating the endpins and the mesquimask
Infamous mesquimask that everyone fucking
Can't move
