I come here to train, she came here to learn, never wrestled before.
I just came to have a go, see what happened.
My name is Saida Smiley, I'm a wrestling coach.
This is my assistant coach, Mathias, Polish champ, which also just won the English Championships too, this year.
So last over, we're doing a sports camp here, mainly MMA.
And this camp we are mainly covering wrestling at the moment.
We're doing freestyle, we're doing Greco-Roman classes, and we're doing applied wrestling.
We're going through the whole lot from the preparation side of it, set up and tie up skin to actual sort of technique, then execute in a shot.
For the actual technique, then we break it down in a small bit so anybody can walk in an actual class from the beginner to a high level sort of guy.
And at least they will get understanding theoretical side of it.
Painful Pete, the physio, who's again great, I've worked with him previously before as well.
He's fixed my shoulder, I used to be like that, and I'm like this.
He's great, he's completely fixed my body.
We've got a mixed group here, and it was quite exciting to see the ones I've been working with during the year and last year have really come on in their bodies.
They're much more balanced, their flexibility has increased.
Some of the professional fighters have really found some improvement from some of the things we've been doing.
Because what's happening at the moment, a lot of people can differentiate when they scramble inside of the grappling and wrestling kicks in.
Is this wrestling, is this BJJ?
So we want to get the pure side of it first, then applying it.
Hi, I'm Kate James and I'm from Bristol, so I work with Peter Califord and Said.
We work with a lot of the cage fighters and MMA fighters, and I mainly look at doing soft tissue work,
so doing stretches and massage work, but I also look at optimising their nutrition to improve their performance and their training region.
It's been great, everyone's working hard.
The social side of it has been the exchange of cultures there, because they're from different nationalities.
It's been really great.
In the wrestling room, we're the same, we're getting on with it, as well as the coaches. Myself, you know, I'm broken, but I'm still getting on with getting a little bit of work out with them and really enjoying it.
It's good.
For meals, it's more about optimising the timing of food, so getting in the food just after training,
even making sure they eat regularly, and getting in enough fibre and protein to maximise lean muscle mass and reduce the fat.
Feed us three meals a day, all included in the price, which is very cheap anyway.
The food's great.
Ten o'clock at night, lock on the window, can we have some ice cream?
Twenty ice creams for us.
So it's just brilliant. Everything's good, not a bad thing so far.
What's nice about last over is such a beautiful, calm sort of place, you know, not much distraction going on.
At the same time, it's so therapeutic when you sit here, you're just sitting down in paradise.
So it's just a perfect environment for us to have a little breakfast as a team, go to the gym, work out, come back, hear the game, maybe hit the sea.
So we've got a fun side of it.
