Yeah
Geographically Alaska is in the northwestern corner of North America.
Our first stop on the trip was Juno, which we skated for a few days.
Do you know what was probably the fun of the city?
I think everybody was just excited because it was the first stop of the trip.
Everybody still had their spark.
It rained 262 days a year in Juno and we were there for almost a week and it didn't rain at all.
We lucked out.
Daryl is reaching for the stars.
The weather is harsher so it takes its toll on spots.
A lot of them needed some doctoring like Bondo or plywood, runoff or something like that.
I mean that's kind of to be expected in my opinion in a place like Alaska.
There was the up rail. It was broken already but we had to break it even more and push it into the ground.
Then take Marino's belt and strap it down.
Then we had to get wood for this boat launch spot that bearing was dying to shoot.
We had to get eight pieces of plywood and skate that.
There's all these boat launch ramps throughout Juno. It's a harbor town.
There's these ramps that go down to the docks because the tide goes up and down 16 feet every day.
The spots in Juno were pretty slim pickings but we figured it out.
Then we hung out with the locals and we had a barbecue and a bonfire.
We had a barbecue and a bonfire and a bonfire and a bonfire.
We had a barbecue and a bonfire and a bonfire and a bonfire.
We had a bonfire and a bonfire and a bonfire.
We had a bonfire and a bonfire and a bonfire.
We had a bonfire and a bonfire and a bonfire.
The mosquitoes are gnarlier than they are in the south. You can't go outside unless you have bug spray.
You can't go outside unless you have bug spray.
We had a bonfire and a bonfire and a bonfire.
We had a bonfire and a bonfire.
Because Alaska is so far north, the days are super long in the summertime.
The long days get to you just because you don't ever see them.
The long days get to you just because you don't ever see darkness.
The long days get to you just because you don't ever see darkness.
The drive from Fairbanks to Anchorage was beautiful and awesome.
We all hated it because Mary wanted to stop every 20 minutes, but if we didn't stop we wouldn't have saw such cool shit.
We had this struggle in Fairbanks that was a hurdle to get over and when we got to Anchorage it was gone.
Anchorage was probably the funnest city because it's the biggest and there was the most spots so we got to do a lot more skating.
We had a lot of fun in Fairbanks and we got to do a lot more skating.
We're getting tricks again!
At the end of the day I would say that it was definitely a successful mission.
We met some amazing people.
They showed us a wonderful time along the way.
It was sick.
We skated some awesome spots, some epic scenery.
At the same time it was just scratching the surface barely.
There was so much more Alaska that we didn't even see.
So it would be rad to go back again sometime.
