I left my cave today. It was a very beautiful day, so I went to Norfolk, yes, to my favorite
garden, you know where. I got there and I realized how much I miss my shooting buddy, my friend.
I did meet a model, a very precocious three-year-old. It was all her mother and agent could do to keep
her in check. She was enthusiastic. She was bubbly. She was wonderful. She was everything
positive about her love for modeling. She was very good at taking directions, by the way.
I also met a fellow Canon user. We are everywhere. Of course, I had to ask, would you mind if
I shoot some pictures of you while you were shooting pictures of the park? After the usual
precursory inquiries, after all, I am an old man, and you know what they say about old men,
lonely old men. Anyway, she agreed. The formula was simple, just stay out of her way. Yes,
man. No, it was not like that at all. That is just your perception. In fact, she was very,
very nice. And no, I won't tell you her name because I promised to protect her identity.
The question came up. Don't you get tired of shooting pictures of flowers? Do you get
tired of good conversation with sincere friends? After all, they are just words being exchanged,
words that you have heard before. No, I don't get tired of shooting pictures of flowers,
and no, I don't get tired of being in and around nature with really beautiful, creative
people.
No.
Okay, alright, well, that is back to the cave.
Just send me a note and let me know when spring finally gets here, okay?
