I'm a drunk ass, I'm a stoner, I ain't no like TV guy.
So it's your first time on Troll and I know that you're gonna do a collab with like a Canadian producer called Emma and can you tell us about it?
Emma, yeah, Emma's a rapper from Hamilton, we're finally gonna meet up tomorrow but we've been sort of on the internet speaking for about two years now.
We made like one beat together, like one track together with him on vocals but we've got like a few bits in the pipeline as well so it might come out on the next album, yeah.
So as a beat maker, you probably want to collab with like a rapper or something, if you have to choose any rapper that or life, which rapper do you want to produce?
This is crazy but I don't know, obviously Biggie would be awesome but like I think a live probably Kanye, I like the fact that he's not scared to just be completely himself.
No matter how stupid, like he might appear, I just love that, he's like got a childish persona and I like that, it's really good, really refreshing.
Cool, and also, I remember like I heard your music and it's kind of like real dancy, funky and stuff, like when you make your music do you think about a party?
Is there a party in your head?
It's totally in my head, like I've said that a few times in interviews that I'm trying to create this party inside my head.
I think it exists more in my head than it does in real life, it's kind of like you know BPM and like you know it doesn't really matter what speed of record it is, I just want people to dance essentially.
I don't care if it's slow or fast, yeah I'm totally down for just eclecticness, yeah.
And as you've been travelling a lot, I know you can see a lot of the other scenes from the other country, I know like people relate you a lot to Ellie's music scene but is there another scene that you like in the world?
Right, I mean mentioned in Portugal again, I love the Kijuri scene like you know Brexom, Systema, stuff like that, but I mean I like the London scene, I like the UK based sound that's coming out of there right now,
I mean it doesn't directly influence me but just the whole, you know people are starting to dance again, I mean it seems like they forgot how to dance, like you know like Grime MC's where it songs about it, you know about going to a rave and no one's dancing, it's just kind of tense.
And then now people are starting to learn to dance again, they're listening to UK Garage and yeah, it's um, yeah definitely.
And so what's next for Star Stinger?
For me it's just working on an album, touring a lot more, I think I'm back in the States in the end of this year so I'm back pretty soon, yeah it's just more of the same but like I'm planning on putting out a really poppy record with loads of different sounds on it, sure.
Really nice.
All out to my beat-builder, my beat-maker in the place, walla-ling!
