This event is only one out of 136 across the country, you are one of tens of thousands
of students standing in solidarity against unthinkable intuitions for public universities.
We're not even talking private, we're public universities.
People are growing up in this community that cannot even attend a community that's across the street from now.
My name is Kathy K. I'm with the union that represents faculty and academic staff.
We are angry about the tuition hikes. This is hard on students.
While the tuition has gone up, our salaries have gone down.
We're here because we care about education.
We fight for everyone, students, workers, minority, women, LGBT, immigrants.
If one of us is oppressed, we are all oppressed.
We believe in participatory democracy and that the only way to change anything is for the people to stand up and fight for what they deserve.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
Tell me what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
Listen up folks, today on this National Day of Action, Chancellor Santiago is conveniently not in his office.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
This is what democracy looks like.
To come here again when we can be sure that Chancellor Santiago is going to come out and address our demands, what do y'all think?
Again, thank you all for coming out. We are a powerful student movement.
I look forward to seeing all your places again. Please join us Monday night at 7 o'clock, Students for Democratic Society. All right!
