STATUS: CITES - Appendix I; U.S. ESA and IUCN - Endangered.

SYNONYMS: chrysopyga, coelestis, itatiagae, petronius.

COMMENTS: Accepted as a species by Mittermeier et al. (1988) and Groves (1989).
