Charley Straight était un pianiste et compositeur de musique ragtime et jazz. Né le 16 janvier 1891 à Chicago, il fit publier de nombreux rags jusqu'à ce qu'il compose pour le jazz. Il décéda le 21 septembre 1940, à l'âge de 49 ans.
