Jimmy Rushing (James Andrew Rushing), était un chanteur de blues et de jazz américain, né à Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) le 26 août 1903 et décédé à New York le 8 juin 1972.

Il doit son surnom de « Mr. Five by Five » (cinq pieds de haut sur cinq pieds de large) à sa forte corpulence.

Après avoir joué 13 ans dans l'orchestre de Count Basie, il entame une carrière solo tout en continuant à faire des sessions, en particulier avec Duke Ellington.
