METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION

1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data:
Gene expression data was collected via protocols in: Breitenbach AT, Carter AW, Paitz RT, Bowden RM. Using naturalistic incubation temperatures to demonstrate how variation in the timing and continuity of heat wave exposure influences phenotype. Proceedings of the Royal Society B. 2020 Aug 12;287(1932):20200992.

2. Methods for processing the data:

3. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data:
QuantStudio 3 was used to run qPCR. R Studio was used for statistical analysis and graphics production.

4. Standards and calibration information, if appropriate:

5. Environmental/experimental conditions:
Two incubation temperatures that produce males (26C constant and 26 +/- 3C flux) and two incubtation temperatures that produces females (31C constant and 31 +/- 3C flux)

6. Describe any quality-assurance procedures performed on the data:
Wells flagged by qPCR machine were not used. Assumptions of all statistical models were met.

7. People involved with sample collection, processing, analysis and/or submission:
